TRANSFORMED MIND FOR TERRITORIAL TRANSFORMATION – Part XXX : SUPERIOR WISDOM FOR CONQUEST
Content:
Philippians 2:5-11
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.”
Obedience was the divine strategy through which Christ triumphed over the enemy. By humbling Himself unto death—even death on a cross—Jesus legally descended into Hades, disarming principalities and powers, and reclaiming the authority Adam forfeited in Eden. Through perfect submission, He secured eternal victory and restored dominion to humanity.
Colossians 2:2-3
‘…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’
1 Corinthians 1:27
“[No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame.”
🔑 1. Descending to Reign: The Paradox of Christlike Mindset
“Let this mind be in you…”
- Jesus chose to lay aside status, privilege, and power—not because He was powerless, but because true power in the Kingdom is displayed through humility and service.
- In a world obsessed with rising up, Jesus teaches us the way down is the way up.
- Key truth: Kingdom greatness is measured in surrender, not status.
- Challenge: Will you embrace invisibility when the world pushes you toward the spotlight?
🔑 2. Obedience Is God’s Strategy for Victory
“…He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death…”
- Jesus didn’t conquer through domination, but through submission to the Father. His obedience—even unto death—was the weapon that shattered the powers of darkness.
- Obedience looks like loss, but in the Kingdom, it is the very strategy for victory.
- Key truth: What looks like weakness to the world is wisdom to God.
- Challenge: Will you trust God's outcomes enough to obey, even when it costs you your comfort, status, or visibility?
🔑 3. Letting Go Is the Highest Form of Trust
“…did not consider it robbery to be equal with God…”
- Jesus didn’t cling to His rights—He released them in trust.
- In contrast, culture teaches us to grab, grasp, and guard what we think we’ve earned.
- Key truth: You don’t need to protect your power when you're rooted in your Father’s authority.
- Challenge: Are you willing to let go of what validates you in the eyes of the world to walk in what glorifies God?
🔑 4. The Cross Confronts Every Human Assumption About Power
“Even the death of the cross…”
- The Cross looks like defeat—yet it was the stage of God's greatest triumph.
- God intentionally chose a strategy that the world would reject: death before resurrection, surrender before glory.
- Key truth: God often hides His power in places our pride refuses to look.
- Challenge: Will you embrace the wisdom of the Cross, even when it confounds human logic?
🔑 5. Kingdom Strategy: From Hiddenness to Exaltation
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him…”
- Christ’s path—downward humility before exaltation—is the Kingdom template.
- God lifts those who bow low. True elevation in the Kingdom is never self-earned; it is God-given to the surrendered.
- Key truth: Promotion in the Kingdom follows the posture of a servant.
- Challenge: Will you trust God to exalt you in due time, or will you try to promote yourself?
> What’s hidden is not weak—it’s rooted. What seems slow is not behind—it’s lasting.
In Conclusion: Let This Mind Be in You…
This isn’t just a story about or a reference to Jesus—it’s an invitation into His way of thinking, living, and leading.
Culture says: Self-promotion, self-protection, self-preservation.
Christ says: Surrender, servanthood, sacrifice.
