 GOING YONDER TO WORSHIP

Content:

Foundations for a Life of Divine Breakthrough.
To consistently walk in divine victory, we must build our lives on these foundational pillars:
1. Prayer
Keeps us aligned with God's will and voice.
Jude 1:20
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

2. The Word
Builds faith and reveals God's nature.
Romans 10:17
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

3. Heartfelt Worship.
⃠Worship is a weapon – breaks spiritual resistance (2 Chronicles 20:22).
⃠Worship is like incense – rises as a sweet aroma before God (Revelation 5:8).
⃠Worship is prophetic – it speaks and declares what God is doing.
In worship, we:
Acknowledge His power.
Provoke His hand.
Host His presence.

4. The prophetic word.
⃠Also referred to “the sent word”.

Psalms 107:20
He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.

2 chronicles 20:20b
Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

Genesis 22:1-5
Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”

The Divine Instruction
Genesis 22:2
“Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go… and offer him…”
God issues a precise and emotionally painful instruction.
This was a test of trust, obedience, and heart alignment.
The Lord will not trust you until He test you.

Abraham’s Response
Genesis 22:3
“So Abraham rose early in the morning…”
Immediate obedience – Abraham did not delay.
Preparation and action – He took wood, servants, and Isaac.
Worship in motion –
“The lad and I will go yonder and worship…” (v.5)

Key Lessons from Abraham’s Response
Turn every test into an opportunity for worship.
Worship is not a feeling—it’s a faith-filled decision.
Abraham trusted God's plan even when it didn’t make sense.
His declaration: “We will come back to you” (Genesis 22:5) is a prophetic word full of faith.

Worship in Difficult Circumstances
1. Paul and Silas – Acts 16:25–26
They worshiped at midnight in prison.
Worship triggered a supernatural earthquake, chains fell off, doors opened.
2. David – Psalm 103:1–5
“Bless the Lord, O my soul…”
David commanded his soul to worship, regardless of circumstance.
Worship helps us remember God’s benefits—healing, redemption, provision.

The Prophetic Nature of Worship.
Abraham’s worship included prophetic declarations:
Genesis 22:5:
“We will come back to you” – a bold, faith-filled word.

Genesis 22:8:
“God will provide for Himself the lamb…” – spoken under divine inspiration.

These show us that worship often releases the sent word (Psalm 107:20) that heals, delivers, and provides.

How Prophetic Words Work.
1. Faith-filled declaration – Speak by the Spirit, not the situation.
2. Revelation – Divine insight often hidden from natural understanding.
3. Instructions – Prophetic words usually come with a step of obedience.
4. Prophetic Obedience – Acting on God's word brings the miraculous.

Examples:
Matthew 17:27 – Provision came through specific, unusual instruction (money in the fish’s mouth).
John 2:7–8 – Water became wine after they obeyed Jesus' unusual command.
Genesis 21:6–7 – Sarah laughed with joy; a prophetic promise was fulfilled in her old age.
Deuteronomy 30:9:
"For you will be blessed, if you listen to the Lord your God and keep his commandments."
Isaiah 54:17:
"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
Psalm 91:11:
"For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."
Jeremiah 29:11:
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
2 Timothy 1:7:
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind."

IN CONCLUSION
Going Yonder to Worship
Worship is not limited to music—it is a life laid down in faith, obedience, and trust.
When we:
Follow God's instruction,
Obey with a worshipful heart,
Speak words filled with faith and revelation,
…God responds with provision, presence, and power.

PRAYING WITH OUR BROTHERS.

Isaiah 59:1
Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.

James 5:13-16
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Gal 6:2
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Job 42: 10

“ After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”
