TRANSFORMED MIND FOR TERRITORIAL TRANSFORMATION – Part XLIII: I WILL MAKE YOU
Content:
I Will Make You
Context:
1. To Abram – Genesis 12:2 (NKJV)
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”
2. To the Disciples – Matthew 4:19 (NKJV)
“Then He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’”
7 Key Things To Note in God’s Ability To Make Men
1. 🌳God Makes from the Raw, Not the Refined
Abram was childless and unknown when God called him.
The disciples were ordinary, untrained fishermen.
Wisdom: God delights in starting with what looks unusable. He forms greatness from the unseen potential, not visible polish.
“He calls things that are not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17)
2. 🌳God Makes Through Process, Not Just Pronouncement
Abram’s “making” took decades — through trials, failures, obedience, and encounters.
The disciples were shaped over three intense years with Jesus — and even then, the process continued after the resurrection.
Wisdom: God's "making" is not instant — it’s formational, relational, and often uncomfortable. He doesn't microwave men; He marinates them.
3. 🌳God Makes Men by Giving Them a Vision Bigger Than Themselves
Abram was made into a nation, even when he only had a barren wife.
The disciples were made fishers of men, a vision far beyond catching fish.
Wisdom: You cannot become who you’re called to be until your mind embraces a vision that dwarfs your current reality.
4. 🌳God Makes By Calling Out Identity Before Performance
Abram was named before he became fruitful.
The disciples were told what they would become before they were transformed.
Wisdom: Heaven always speaks to identity before destiny. God says, “I will make you…” — not “You will make yourself.”
5. 🌳God Makes Through Separation
Abram had to leave his father’s house (Genesis 12:1).
The disciples had to leave their nets and boats (Matthew 4:20–22).
Wisdom: You cannot be made by God unless you are willing to be unmade from what previously defined you.
6. 🌳God Makes Men Into Multipliers
Abram becomes the father of many nations.
The disciples become apostles who turn the world upside down.
Wisdom: When God makes a man, it’s not for self-exaltation, but for generational multiplication. God doesn’t just make men; He makes movements through men.
7. 🌳God Makes Through Intimacy and Obedience
“Follow Me...” — the call is relational, not transactional.
Both Abram and the disciples were called into intimate relationship that required daily obedience.
Wisdom: The making of a man of God is not based on skill but yieldedness to walk with Him into mystery, moment by moment.
Summary
“I will make you…” is both a promise and a process.
It is God's way of saying:
> “If you walk with Me, I will shape your destiny in ways no human hand could ever mold.”
God doesn’t need your perfection — He needs your permission.
