WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH THE TOUGH GETS GOING
Content:
If I was told when I got saved that everything would be easy from then on and that life would be a bed of roses, that would have been a lie and I would most definitely went back to my old life.
Yes we have an enemy in this earth.
1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Lions attack sick, young or animals that are weak, they choose victims who are alone or not alert. We are warned to watch out for Satan when we are suffering, persecuted, weak and helpless and cut off from other believers. We need to fix our eyes on Jesus and resist the devil.
Yes we live on an earth with a curse, we can’t be surprised when trials and troubles come our way.
But as children of the Living God, we can rise above them! We can come out on top, and keep our joy all along the way. We have all the power we need to be over-comers in the midst of adverse circumstance.
Romans 8:37
In all things we are more than conquers , through him who loved us.
So what do we do when the going gets tough?
What is the will of God for us?
Ephesians 5:17-21
Therefore do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is
be not drunk with wine, but be filled with the spirit,
speak to yourself in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord
give thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
submit yourselves one to another in the fear of God
Whenever the pressures of life start squeezing us, it’s good to check up on ourselves reading and applying the word of God in our situation. This is the will of the Lord for us.
We can ask ourselves. Am I doing these things? Am I staying filled? Do I have a song in my heart? Am I constantly thankful? Am I submitting myself to others.
These things are God’s will for us.
Burn Brighter
Romans 12-11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor , serving the Lord.
When the going gets tough maintain the glow of the Lord, be on fire with the spirit.
Don't burn out, keep yourselves alert and expectant.Don't quit in hard times, pray harder. When the enemy turns up the heat we can also burn brighter.
The worst could be happening, but we can maintain our glow in the midst of any circumstances we face.
Endure Hardness
2 Timothy 2-3
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Suffering—enduring hardship for the sake of Christ—was the expectation of the those who sought to live fully for God.
Job:
Suffered immense loss of wealth, family, and health, yet remained faithful to God.
David:
Experienced betrayal by his own son, Absalom, and struggled with the consequences of his sins, including adultery and murder.
Moses:
Faced numerous challenges leading the Israelites out of Egypt, including resistance from Pharaoh and the people, as well as personal struggles with his own leadership.
Joseph:
Was sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, yet remained steadfast in his faith and rose to a position of power in Egypt.
Paul:
Endured persecution, imprisonment, shipwrecks, and physical hardship for his faith, yet continued to spread the Gospel.

Its not always easy
If we live for God, sometimes we have to swim upstream.
In the midst of hard times, we can thank God for His goodness. Exercise our faith, believe Him, and watch Him work.
