Job 40:7 “Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me:
An interesting discourse ensued between God and Job, but you have to go back to read Job chapters 32 to 39, to understand what's going on.
Our remit in life is to always ask God to speak to us and lay us bare, so we can truly know who we are.
It is okay to come corporately and put on togas, but then it is stronger individually to shed togas.
Shedding togas means that we discard old ways and mindset. Shedding of toga means that we stay in a place of righteousness, truth and integrity.
Shedding of toga means that we walk in humility and repentance when we much up.
God in that discourse was trying to get Job to shed his toga. Job's response was impeccably immaculate.. Our response to God's demands and standards must be built upon the foundation of humility.
If we are going to move forward as men or as a man, be open to rebuke. A rebuke helps us to rebuild and lay foundations for future advantages, advancement and forays.
Psalms 141:5 Let the righteous strike me;
It shall be a kindness.
And let him rebuke me;
It shall be as excellent oil;
Let my head not refuse it.
For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.
Invite God to always speak to you like a MAN after HIS heart, but be ready for some hard truths.
