A. Having peace with God
Romans 5:1-2
Peace and Hope
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
We have peace with God not because of our own acts but because of the blood that flowed down the cross. It was because of the sacrifice in Calvary that we have peace with God.
We can access the spirit because of the “peace that was bought forth with God”
Knowing the value of “peace with God “ governs a lot of our actions in our daily lives .
It governs our :
1. Relationship with our spouse - knowing God made peace with you . Be Christ like and be at peace with your spouse every second of the day. Being Christ like is not an argument we win for Jesus but showing the love he did on the cross in our walk with our spouse. She is the second pillar in you family.
2. Your children: being at peace with your children. In their guidance and in their waywardness. Knowing God made peace with you , be at peace with your children. Discipline peacefully , let joy of you being at peace flow down in your action and thoughts of your children. Knowing that you are at peace with God , let that peace squash the fears of insecurity of your child’s future. Your children are in safe hands . God placed them in yours because God trusts and hopes in you just as you trust and hope in him. So you offspring will shine for his glory.
3. Your responsibility: Knowing that “ you are at peace with God” shifts the way you look at you responsibilities .
4. Offences : Knowing that “ you are at peace with God, shits the way you handle offences. You have the power to remove the sting of offence knowing that God reconciled with you first , so let the peace of God direct you heart to humility to overlook offences towards you.
5. Unforgiving: Knowing that “you are at peace with God shits your heart to a forgiving nature. When hurt remember how God made peace with you , let that peace take over the hurt caused by others so that your forgiving nature always takes the forefront .
Prayer point :
Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will remind us every second of the day of what it means to be “at peace with God “. Let’s adore God in his action to bring peace with us .
Let us pray to be Christ like in imparting “the peace of God “ with our spouses , our children , our workmates , our transgressors, our offenders.
B. He has your back
Acts 19:11-13
God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.”
As you proclaim the “peace that God has shown to man “ thorough you walk in different avenues of you life , my friends miracles are bound to happen .
Some make take advantage of you. Some may betray you . Some may gossip about you . Some may use you .
*Fret not . ***
For the Holy Spirit knows this and so do the other spirits . God in his time will fix all things for his glory .
Acts 19:15-16
One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
Acts 19:17-20
When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done. A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.
Some times the Lord does allow the evil one to propagate such thing and when the enemy him self confesses that he cannot win Over the power of Jesus many will repent and come to him.
Be happy when in the valleys of life because God is stirring up a miracle for you and someone around you. You will walk through danger with a smile and the people around you are going to be amazed at your faith . The oppressor in the end will be defeated .
Romans 5:3-5
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
**We are living in a better world .
**The world today is peaceful.
**Women have rights .
**You don’t get stoned to death for mistakes.
**You have medications that help in ailments .
Imagine 2000 years ago all of this was but a dream . For those people 2000 years ago all of this was a dream , hope .
We are living their dreams .
You are in the promise land . The day you said yes to Jesus you entered the promise land .
So walk without fear , stand and affirm your faith . In all you do give him the glory first .
Prayer point:
In all tasks let me have the eyes of Joshua and Nun who saw a land we could inhabit. Let us look through the lenses of God at our promise he has for us .
Help us father to not be a stumbling block for anyone watching us .
Help us to be a light amount the darkness where ever we maybe placed . Either it be in our family , our community , our workplace .
Help us to face competition with the knowledge that we will be victorious . Remembering that victory in competition should be for the glory of God and not for our own vested interests. May our spiritual eyes see completions that will bring g glory to God in our lives .
C. The chain of faith
“Testimony on the lady with a hand prolapse “
He has your back , he uses your faith for others .
The lady needed statistics to help her get through a difficult time .
We trust on nuts and bolts when we sit on a plane .
How good it is for us to know that the creator of all year statistics and engineering has our back.
So fear not , you are in your promise land and you have the creator standing behind you all the way .
