HOW TO KEEP THE FIRE OF THE LORD BURNING
At Different Levels of Consecration.

DEFINITION OF CONSECRATION
Consecration is the intentional act of setting yourself apart—your life, your heart, your habits, your time, and your desires—for God’s exclusive use and purposes.
It is the process of separating from what contaminates and fully dedicating yourself to what pleases Him.
Biblical Elements of Consecration
Separation from sin, distractions, and environments that dim spiritual fire.
Dedication of one’s life fully to God’s purposes.
Surrender of the will, ambitions, and desires to God’s leadership.
Purification of heart, mind, motives, and lifestyle.
Obedience to God’s Word and promptings.
Alignment to His presence, voice, and assignments.
In Simple Terms:
➡️ Consecration means saying “YES” to God and “NO” to anything that hinders His fire in your life.
➡️ It is living in such a way that you become a vessel God can fill, use, and trust.
Scriptures on Consecration

Romans 12:1 (NKJV)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

NOTE: Consecration is presenting yourself on God’s altar.

2 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
NOTE: Separation is the foundation of consecration.
Joshua 3:5 (NKJV)
“Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.”
NOTE: Wonders follow consecration.
2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV)
“If anyone cleanses himself… he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

NOTE: You become a vessel God can trust.

🔹 1. FOUNDATIONAL CONSECRATION — The Fire of Consistent Fellowship
Focus: Walk with God daily
Goal: Keep the heart alive, sensitive, and aligned.

Psalm 5:3 (NKJV)
“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.”
NOTES:
Morning devotion sets spiritual direction for the day.
Consistency sustains fire — not intensity alone.

Mark 1:35 (NKJV)
“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”
NOTES:
Even Jesus guarded His prayer altar.
Solitude fuels intimacy.

Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth… for then you will make your way prosperous.”
NOTES:
Meditation feeds the fire of revelation.
The Word is the fuel the fire sits on.

Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
NOTES:
Scripture gives clarity and direction, preventing spiritual drifting.

Hebrews 10:25 (NKJV)
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”
NOTES:
Isolation kills fire; fellowship keeps coals burning.

🔹 2. INTERMEDIATE CONSECRATION — The Fire of Purity and Obedience
Focus: Set your life apart
Goal: Build strength and holiness.

Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV)
“Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us…”
NOTES:
Weights drain fire even if they are not “sins.”
Consecration requires discipline.

Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV)
“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”
NOTES:
Guarding the heart protects the flame from contamination.

Isaiah 58:6–8 (NKJV)
“Is this not the fast I have chosen… Then your light shall break forth like the morning…”
NOTES:
Fasting breaks yokes and amplifies spiritual sensitivity.
Fasting clears the vessel for more fire.

1 Samuel 15:22 (NKJV)
“To obey is better than sacrifice…”
NOTES:
Obedience is the ignition switch of the fire.
God responds to obedience faster than to offerings.

John 14:21 (NKJV)
“He who has My commandments and keeps them… I will manifest Myself to him.”
NOTES:
Obedience brings encounters.
Fire increases with revelation.

Psalm 24:3–4 (NKJV)
“Who may ascend… He who has clean hands and a pure heart…”
NOTES:
Purity is required for higher realms of God’s presence.
Clean hands = pure actions; pure heart = pure motives.

🔹 3. ADVANCED CONSECRATION — The Fire of Assignment and Service
Focus: Burning for purpose
Goal: Stir gifts, serve faithfully, grow in calling.

Colossians 3:23 (NKJV)
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord…”
NOTES:
The fire increases when we serve with passion.
Excellence honours God.

Psalm 63:1–2 (NKJV)
“My soul thirsts for You… To see Your power and Your glory.”
NOTES:
Deep hunger draws deeper encounters.
Purpose requires presence.

Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)
“He who walks with wise men will be wise…”
NOTES:
Your associations determine your acceleration.
Fire spreads through alignment.

James 5:16 (NKJV)
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
NOTES:
Prayer energises gifts.
Fervency = intensity of fire.

2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)
“Stir up the gift of God which is in you…”
NOTES:
Gifts die without stirring.
Stirring = prayer, study, service, impartation.

🔹 4. PROPHETIC/PRIESTLY CONSECRATION — The Fire of Deep Surrender
Focus: Hosting God’s presence
Goal: Live from the secret place.

Psalm 91:1 (NKJV)
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
NOTES:
The secret place is the fireplace.
Dwelling (remaining), not visiting, sustains fire.

Exodus 33:14–15 (NKJV)
“My Presence will go with you… If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.”
NOTES:
Presence is the proof of consecration.
Moses preferred delay with God over progress without Him.

1 Kings 18:36–38 (NKJV)
“Then the fire of the LORD fell…”
NOTES:
Fire falls on repaired altars.
Prophetic consecration requires sacrifice and alignment.

Revelation 1:10 (NKJV)
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day…”
NOTES:
High-level consecration requires living in the Spirit.
Sensitivity precedes revelation.

🔹 5. APOSTOLIC CONSECRATION — The Fire of Kingdom Impact
Focus: Territorial influence, nations, systems
Goal: Enforce Kingdom order in the earth.

Jeremiah 1:10 (NKJV)
“See, I have this day set you over the nations… To root out and to pull down…”
NOTES:
Apostolic fire uproots, tears down, builds, and plants.
This level carries governmental authority.

Matthew 28:19–20 (NKJV)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”
NOTES:
The Great Commission is impossible without fire.
Apostolic consecration fuels global influence.

Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”
NOTES:
Power comes after consecration.
Fire is for impact, not for display.

Psalm 2:8 (NKJV)
“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance…”
NOTES:
Apostolic fire is sustained by intercession.
Nations are won on the altar before they are won in the field.
