AND THEY CONTINUED STEADFASTLY.

THE KEY PILLARS OF A HEALTHY BODY

Acts 2:42-47
" And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."

opening remarks:
⃠The early church did not grow accidentally.
⃠They grew because they continued.
⃠They stayed together.
⃠They remained steadfast.
⃠This is the blueprint of a healthy body and a growing church.

THE 4 KEY PILLARS OF A HEALTHY BODY OF BELIEVERS.

“…the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

1. THE WORD – Apostles’ Doctrine
The Word is the foundation of steadfast faith.
Hebrews 4:12
The Word of God is living, powerful, and discerning.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
Scripture equips the believer for every good work.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but God’s Word will never fail.
Matthew 7:24
Those who hear and obey the Word build on a solid rock.
Psalm 119:9
Purity and direction come from living according to the Word.
âž¡ï¸ A steadfast church is a Word-anchored church.

Prayer Point:
Lord, give us a hunger for Your Word. Let Your Word be alive and active in us. Shape our thoughts, correct our ways, and establish our lives on the solid rock of truth. Keep us anchored in Scripture and obedient to what You speak. Amen.

2. COMMUNITY – Fellowship (Brothers in Christ)
The Christian walk is not meant to be lived alone.

Matthew 18:20
God manifests His presence when believers gather in His name.

1 John 1:7
Walking in the light produces true fellowship and cleansing.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Fellowship requires spiritual alignment.

âž¡ï¸ Growth happens in Godly community.

Prayer Point:
Lord, knit our hearts together in genuine fellowship. Remove isolation, division, and offence. Teach us to walk in the light with one another and to build relationships that reflect Your love and truth. Make us a strong, united family in Christ. Amen.

3. COMMUNION – Breaking of Bread
Communion keeps Christ at the center.

1 Corinthians 11:23–26
Institution of the Lord’s Supper
(Matt. 26:26–29; Mark 14:22–25; Luke 22:14–23)
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

When we partake, we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
âž¡ï¸ Communion reminds us:
We are redeemed
We are one body
We live by His sacrifice

Prayer Point:
Jesus, we remember Your sacrifice. Thank You for Your broken body and shed blood. Keep our hearts centered on the cross. Remind us that we are redeemed, united as one body, and sustained by Your grace. Let our lives continually proclaim Your death and resurrection. Amen.

4. THE CLOSET – Prayer
Private devotion sustains public power.
Philippians 4:6
" Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

* Prayer replaces anxiety with peace.

Hebrews 4:16
" Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

* We approach the throne of grace boldly.

Mark 11:24
" Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

* Faith-filled prayer releases God’s provision.
âž¡ï¸ A praying church is a powerful church.

Prayer Point:
Lord, draw us into the secret place. Teach us to pray with faith, boldness, and thanksgiving. Replace anxiety with peace and strengthen our trust in You. Let our private devotion produce public power and lasting fruit. Amen.

7. Growth – Souls Added Daily

âž¡ï¸ When the church is healthy, God adds daily.

Prayer Point:
Father, we commit to planting and watering faithfully. Give us hearts for the lost and boldness to share the Gospel. Bring the increase as only You can. Add to Your church daily those who are being saved. Amen.

CONCLUSION
The defining phrase of the early church:
“They continued steadfastly.”
Continue — don’t quit
Together — don’t isolate
Steadfastly — don’t waver
This is the model.
This is the mandate.
This is the pathway to sustained growth.

A steadfast church becomes a growing church.

Prayer Points:

PROPHETIC PRAYER POINTS — MINDS WITHOUT CEILINGS

Seeing Possibilities • Harbouring No Limitation • Attempting the Audacious

I. PRAYERS FOR ILLUMINATED PERCEPTION (MINDS THAT SEE POSSIBILITIES)

1. Prayer for Enlightened Vision
Father, according to Ephesians 1:18 , enlighten the eyes of our understanding. Deliver us from short sight, survival thinking, and present-bound perception. Let our minds see what Heaven is revealing before it manifests on earth.

2. Prayer for Sight Beyond the Visible
By the power of 2 Corinthians 4:18 , train our minds to look beyond what is seen and temporary. Break the tyranny of facts that silence faith, and awaken perception that discerns divine futures hidden in present chaos.

3. Prayer for Faith-Substance Thinking
Lord, establish Hebrews 11:1 intelligence within us—minds that give substance to what has not yet appeared. Let our thinking become a womb that carries divine intention into manifestation.

II. PRAYERS FOR THE REMOVAL OF INTERNAL CEILINGS (MINDS THAT HARBOUR NO LIMITATION)

4. Prayer for the Destruction of Mental Strongholds
In the authority of Christ, we pull down every limiting imagination, inherited ceiling, and learned permission that contradicts Matthew 19:26 . Where impossibility has been normalised, release divine possibility.

5. Prayer for Christ-Sourced Capacity
Father, we reject self-measured ability. By Philippians 4:13 , rewire our minds to draw strength, competence, and endurance from Christ alone. Let divine capacity overwrite human insufficiency.

6. Prayer to Leap Over Walls
By the testimony of Psalm 18:29 , empower us to leap over walls—financial, intellectual, systemic, psychological. Let no barrier educate our minds into retreat when You have called us to transcend.

7. Prayer to Speak to Mountains
According to Zechariah 4:6–7 , we speak to great mountains of resistance: “Become a plain.” We reject might-based thinking and receive Spirit-governed cognition that reshapes terrain.

III. PRAYERS FOR AUDACIOUS OBEDIENCE (MINDS THAT ATTEMPT THE IMPOSSIBLE)

8. Prayer for Bold Movement
Lord, by Joshua 1:3 , grant us courage to step where You have already given. Break paralysis caused by over-analysis. Align our movement with inheritance.

9. Prayer for Speaking Faith Before Sight
We receive the grace of Mark 11:22–24 . Train our mouths to agree with Heaven before circumstances comply. Let our words carry authority, not fear.

10. Prayer for Obedience Without Precedent
As with Noah and Abraham ( Hebrews 11:7–8 ), release grace to obey instructions that lack explanation. Deliver us from needing validation before obedience.

11. Prayer for Exploit-Level Faith
According to Daniel 11:32 , raise us as a people who know our God—strong in conviction and dangerous to darkness. Birth exploit-level faith that rewrites history.

Lord, by Habakkuk 2:2–3 , give us vision that stretches us beyond comfort. Even in delay, let our minds mature instead of shrinking.
