Topic:  THE POWER IN DIVINE CONNECTS

Content:

 Part 1.

Divine connections — those God-breathed relationships that seemingly come out of nowhere and have the potential to radically impact your life — are vital to walking in your prophetic destiny.

The reality is, we need each other. God has not called us to walk alone, and He will bring divine connections into our lives at strategic times.

Divine connections are scriptural and necessary to fulfilling your prophetic destiny. Part of your destiny is in someone else, and part of someone else’s destiny is in you.

“You become close with the PERSON YOU PRAY WITH, the PERSON YOU PRAY FOR
and THE PERSON YOU PRAY TO”
Dr Keji.

“Invisible threads are the strongest ties.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

“We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.” – William James

Psalms 133:1-2
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.

John 15:5
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Examples from scripture of divine connections.

THE BAPTISM & ANOINTING.

Jesus and John the Baptist.

A divine connection relationship will usher you into the next-level and fuels your vision, purpose, and specific assignment in any given season.

Matthew 3:15-16
But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

Notice Jesus still had to be baptised by a man to “fulfil all righteousness”.
For you to step into your calling, purpose and assignment you will need a man to usher you in.

Matthew 10:41
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Prayer point.
Father lead me to the person that will usher me into my divine purpose. Help me not miss the moment or the person when my time comes. Open my eye to see people not as mere men but divine connectors.

Prophet Samuel & David.

The anointing oil
“Arise, anoint him; for this is the one…”

Prophet Samuel & David.

1 Samuel 16:1
Now the LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

1 Samuel 16:13
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

THE COVENANT & FRIENDSHIPS

David and Jonathan.

1 Samuel 18:1-4

Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. Saul took him that day, and would not let him go home to his father’s house anymore. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

Lessons we can learn from David & Jonathan.

1. Naturing of spiritual bond.
This is the work of the Holy Spirit ….the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David” (1 Sam. 18:1).
Don’t resist this process. Let God knit you to people.
2. Showed sacrificial love.
Jonathan loved David so much that he risked his life to help him fulfill his mission.
3. Offered encouragement.
When David was fleeing from Saul in the wilderness, Jonathan traveled to Horesh to cheer up his friend (1 Sam. 23:16).
4. Protection of a friend.
When Jonathan realized his father was plotting to kill David, he not only warned him of danger but he concocted a plan to deliver his friend (1 Sam. 19:1-4).
5. Keeping or concealing a friend’s pain.
David confided in his friend Jonathan, and in some cases he poured out his heart in frustration. At one point he said to Jonathan, “What have I done? What is my iniquity?” (1 Sam. 20:1).
6. Jonathan harbored no jealous. • Jonathan realized his friend would one day be king of Israel. This was actually Jonathan’s inheritance, since he was Saul’s son, but he acknowledged and supported David.
7. The covenant spoke into generations.
2 Samuel 9:1 David’s Kindness to Mephibosheth Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”
