Deception, Decisions, Destruction
*1. A gift carelessly stewarded can lead to the destruction of a destiny*.
*2. The only antidote for deception is discernment*.
*3. Understand and insists on “It is written”*.
*4. Access to the face of God (His Presence) does not exempt a man from Satan’s temptation or deception*.
*5. A man’s destruction is bred by decisions that are based on deception foundation*.”
*Proverbs 14:12,14* - “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death…The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied from above."
*Genesis 2:18* - “And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; *I will make him a helper comparable to him.*”
*Genesis 3:6-7* - “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, *she took of its fruit and ate*. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. *Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked*; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”
1. In the lush Garden of Eden, there were two - Adam and Eve. Satan tempted Eve.
2. In the arid desert of Judea, there was one - Jesus Christ. Satan tempted Jesus Christ.
*1. Deception*
*Genesis 3:1* - “Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of *every tree* of the garden’?”
*2. Decisions*
*Genesis 3:6* - “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. *She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.*”
As the priest in your home, do you communicate and demonstrate instructions and Kingdom principles clearly to the members of your household?
What would have happened if Adam chose to not eat the apple and waited on God to visit the couple in the cool of the day?
Adam and Eve fell short of the glory of God when Adam completed the cycle by accepting and eating the apple (Reference Genesis 3:6-7).
What do you base your decision-making process on? Culture, Personality, Needs assessment, (In)Convenience, Comfort, Peer Pressure, Social Standing, Consensus etc.
*3. Destruction*
*Genesis 3:22* - *Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the *Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.* So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Prayer Points:
*Prayer Point 1* - Father, I receive the grace for discernment in every area of life, relationship, family, career, and ministry. I declare I shall be vigilant and not be tripped by Satan’s cunningness to fall into his trap.
*Prayer Point 2* - Father, grant me wisdom in my decision-making process. Help me guard my heart so that I am not deceived by the lust of flesh (“*…the tree was good for food*”), the lust of the eyes (“*…that it was pleasant to the eyes*”) and the pride of life (“…a tree desirable to make one wise”).
*Prayer Point 3* - Father, I receive grace and strength to obey principles, believe prophecy and patiently obtain your promises. I obtain the courage to lead my family in way that totally honour You in all things.
