Above Every Trial
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God
* God is above disease.
* God is above financial hardship.
* God is above every workplace authority.
* God is above every human system and every earthly power.
Luke 8: 22-24 : God is in your boat
“Bless God “ let us sing
Bless God in the sanctuary
Bless God in the fields of plenty
Bless God in the darkest valley
Every chance I get I'll bless Your name
Bless God when my hands are empty
Bless God with a praise that costs me
Bless God when nobody's watching
Every chance I get I'll bless Your name
Bless God when the weapon's forming
Bless God when the walls are falling
Bless God 'cause He goes before me
Every chance I get I'll bless Your name
Bless God for He holds the victory
Bless God for He's always with me
Bless God for He's always worthy
Every chance I get I'll bless Your name, hey
Every chance I get I'll bless Your name, oh
Every chance I get
Chorus :
Come on and praise the Lord with me
Sing if you love His name
Come on and lift your voice with me
He's worthy of all our praise
Come on and bring your offering
Sing if you've known His grace
Come on and lift up your holy hands
He's worthy of all our praise
Yes, He's worthy of all our praise
2. Above every earthly power:
The second temptation was the temptation of power.
The devil offered Jesus authority over all the kingdoms of the world if only He would worship him. Jesus answered:
“You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.”
Power comes in many forms. It may be leadership in our family, authority in the workplace, influence over others, financial success, professional status, or recognition in society. None of these things are evil in themselves, but they become dangerous when they replace God as the object of our trust or affection.
The devil whispers, “You can have more. You deserve more. Take control.”
But Jesus reminds us that only God deserves our worship.
Many people believe that God exists. Even the demons believe that—and they tremble (James 2:19). The question is not simply whether we believe God exists, but whether we worship Him alone.
Every position of leadership is a gift from God. Therefore, we should pray:
“Lord, thank You for every responsibility You have entrusted to me. Give me humility, wisdom, and compassion. Help me to lead my family, my workplace, my finances, and every area of influence in a way that reflects the character of Christ. Let my leadership be marked not by pride or anger, but by love, patience, and servant-heartedness.”
3. Above the prince of earth:
The final temptation was to test God.
The devil urged Jesus to throw Himself from the pinnacle of the temple, claiming that the angels would rescue Him. Jesus answered:
“You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.”
Faith that amazes God:
A. “ The three Hebrew boys , another in the fire “
Daniel 3:16-18
B. The centurion: Luke 7:1-10
> “Lord, I do not deserve to have You come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.”
