*Isaiah 7:14*

 

Bro Demetri - *1 Corinthians 3:11* - reminded us of the importance of the foundation laid in Christ through discernment and obedience to His voice.

 

Bro Eddy - *1 Peter 2:9* - But you are *God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings*, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.

 

Bro Simon - “We as MAGH have been chosen by God as His very own.”

 

*Isaiah 7:14* - “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, *the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son*, and shall call His name Immanuel.”

 

*Luke 1:26-27* - “Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. *The virgin’s name was Mary*.”

 

In the Greek language in which the New Testament was written, Christos (Christ) has the same meaning as the Hebrew word Mashiach (Messiah) - “*anointed one*”, signifying one who was *specially chosen by God*.

 

To be chosen means “to be anointed and separated for a unique work, mission, or service.” 

*1 Corinthians 1:21* highlights the fact that God confers spiritual anointing with the Holy Ghost upon us believers.

 

The chosen ones navigate three seasons namely:

 

1. *Season of Expectation*

*Psalm 62:5* - “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.”

 

The disciples longed for a Saviour and a King to deliver Israel from the oppression of Rome.

 

*John 1:40-42* - “One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.”

 

*Me*: Father, as I wait on you help me to understand my place in your agenda for your Kingdom. Let my life bring glory and honour to Your name.

 

*MAGH*: We are expectant of a great harvest of souls at all MAGH events. Lord, as we lift You up, let men be drawn to you.

 

 

2. *Season of Preparation*

*2 Timothy 2:21* - “Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

 

Mary was prepared as a virgin to be the vessel through which our Lord JESUS Christ will make His entrance into the world, guided by the Holy Ghost.

 

*Prayer Point 2*

*Me*: Father, as you prepare me, strengthen me and grant me the wisdom that overcomes every wile and deception of the enemy. Help me live a life holy and sanctified unto You that I may behold You in the Secret Place.

 

*MAGH*: Let the hearts of men be prepared to receive the seed that will be planted at both the June and August events.

 

 

3. *Season of Execution*

*Romans 8:19* - “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”

 

Daniel understood prophecy and aligned himself to it. 

 

*Daniel 9:1-2, 21* - “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans— 2 in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem…

 

21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.”

 

*Prayer Point 3*

*Me*: Father, I obtain the power of the Holy Spirit to execute your plan and purposes in my life. Let the Son be revealed in all that I say or do IJN.

 

*MAGH*: Let there be a demonstration of the Presence, power and of the Spirit of God in all our events this year.
