Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Point 1*

Father, I commit my relationship and family into Your hands. Help us so we do not drift aimlessly through life. Grant us the wisdom to understand Your purpose, plan, and direction.

*What is the purpose of marriage?*
If God created man in His own image and after His own likeness; and God created marriage; then a successful marriage between two committed believers provides a tangible model of God’s love to a world that desperately needs to see who He is.

One of the best ways to mirror God’s image is through a line of godly descendants - our children - who will carry a reflection of His image to the next generation.

*Psalm 78:5-7* - “For He established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, *which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children; 6 That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children*, 7 that they may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.”

God’s original plan called for the home to be a sort of greenhouse - a nurture centre where children grow up *to learn character, values and integrity*. But for this to become a reality, there has to agreement between a man and his wife.

*Prayer Point 2*
Father, as I undertake this life journey with my spouse, help us make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Holy Spirit, help us to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control - in our relationships.

One of the assignments of the union between a man and a woman is to build a lasting legacy in terms of a Godly family that will honour God for generations. You family is a representative of the Kingdom of God here on earth.

*Genesis 18:19* - “*For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD*, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

The manifestation of some of the prophecies spoken to you or over you is contingent on your bringing your offsprings up in the way of the Lord. Legacies are destroyed or aborted when the head of the home fails to discharged their priestly responsibilities in a God-honouring way.

*Prayer Point 3*
Heavenly Father, unless You build the house, the labourers labour in vain. Help me as an earthly father and a priest in my home to follow You closely and honour You in all things. Help me walk in the light of the wisdom You have given me to lead my household with love and integrity.
