This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

 

 1. *Hunger and thirst* 

 

*Isaiah 44:3*

“For I will pour water *on him who is thirsty*, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.”

 

_Reflections_

1. What most Christians engage in is ‘*desired thirst*’ not ‘*actual thirst*.’ 
*Pursuit is the evidence of desire.*
Believers would rather thirst after what the cosmos has to offer than the genuine Presence of God.

2. The measure of His Presence in your life is determined by you: Your thirst and your hunger.

3. God has enough blessings to adequately match and surpass your spiritual hunger.

4. The gift of the Holy Spirit (The blessing) will bring all other spiritual blessings into your life.

5. The prophetic speaking of God applies to you, your offspring, and your descendants.

 

*Isaiah 55:6*

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.”

Heavenly Father, I yearn for a fresh encounter with you this morning. I seek a closer and more intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. Fill me up afresh Lord IJN.

 

 2. *Spirit of wisdom and revelation* 

 

*Ephesians 1:16-17*

“…do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the *spirit of wisdom and revelation* in the knowledge of Him.”

 

_Reflections_

1. Spiritual maturity is taking on the responsibility of praying for others.

2. It is petitioning God to grant to others the same blessing He has bestowed upon you: the mark of selflessness.

3. The requirement to increase in the knowledge of Christ is the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

 

*Prayer Point 2*

Father God, I receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation that I may know. Grant me insight into how we as believers, through fellowship and partnership with the Holy Spirit, can be endowed to know You better. 

 

 3. *Surrender and allow the Holy Spirit to produce the character of Christ in you* 

 

_Reflections_

1. The secret to walking in the spirit is surrendering your will, in other words, *dying to self*.

2. You can only truly know God’s will when you surrender yours.

3. The teacher of Godly character is the Holy Spirit.

4. Truth: the greatest reality a believer can experience. The advent of the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth…away from confusion, lies, assumptions, opinions, show in the dark, contradictions, guesswork, deceit etc.

 

*Romans 12:1*

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a *living sacrifice*, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

 

As you die to self, the Holy Spirit produces the *character of Christ* in you namely: tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another (*Colossians 3:12-13*).

 

*Prayer Point 3*

Holy Spirit, I surrender my life to you, transform me and produce the character of Christ in me. Show me how to partner with You because without You I can do nothing. 

 

 4. “*Salvations and boldness to witness to others*”

 

*Acts 1:8*

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And *you will be my witnesses*, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

 

_Reflections_

1. One of the verifications of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life is the manifestation of power to witness.

2. You do not need a business card or a billboard to advertise power. Power advertises itself, or _Himself_. Power _testifies_. You CANNOT receive power and hide it.

 

*John 6:44*

“For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.”

 

*Prayer Point 4*

Holy Spirit, I pray that you touch my unsaved family members, workmates, friends, homies, amigos etc. I receive the boldness to reach out to those you have placed around me. I pray that you reveal yourself to them as I witness to them. I pray that they experience a life changing encounter in You.
