Topic: A MEASURE OF FAITH
Content:
*Hebrews 11:3* - “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that *the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible*.”
*Romans 12:3* - “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”
*If faith is supernatural, then our human nature is incapable of generating faith on its own. We must take hold of God’s faith.*
*Romans 1:17* - “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
*Mark 9:23* - “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
*Reflections*
1. *In the absence of reason, all things are possible.*
2. A believer full of God’s supernatural faith is passionate about the impossible, and his faith is fed when he confronts “impossible” situation. When God gave each one of us a measure of faith, an appetite for the impossible came into our spirits.
3. Because everyone is given a measure of faith, there is no excuse not to believe God.
Prayer Points:
*Prayer Point 1*
Father, I activate the measure of faith You have dealt to me today. Help me to be conscious of You in all I am and all I do.
*Hebrews 11:1* - “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, *the evidence of things not seen*. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.”
*Reflections*
1. *Faith perceives as _seen_ that which has yet to be revealed to the natural senses*.
*Jeremiah 1:11* - “Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well. For I will hasten My word to perform it.”
2. *Faith is seeing what God sees and declaring what is seen.*
*2 Corinthians 4:18* - “While *we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen*. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
*Romans 4:17* - “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did…”
*Prayer Point 2*
Father, by faith, I begin to see all you have for me. By your word, I begin to create all you have for me with the expectation of their manifestation.
*Hebrews 11:6* - “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
*Prayer Point 3*
Father, I receive the grace to submit to You in all things. I relinquish all the things are preventing me from pleasing You. Help me to trust and obey You in all things.
