*1 Kings 17: 1* - “And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “*As the Lord God of Israel lives*, *before whom I stand*, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, *except at my word*.”

 

1. *Matthew 4:4* - But He answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” 

 

*John 6:63* - *Life is spiritual*. Your physical existence doesn’t contribute to that life. The words that I have spoken to you are spiritual. They are life. (_GOD’S WORD Translation_).

 

Since man fell, he confined the concept of life into a mere physical existence sustained by food and drinks. We now know that it takes more than what goes in through the mouth to sustain life.

 

*John 6:63* - It is the Spirit who give life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are _spirit_ , and they are life.

Father, help me to understand the fundamental truth that life is spiritual, God is Spirit and I am a spirit being. I receive the insight that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.                                                                                                                 

 

2. *Hebrews 10:38* - “The just shall live by faith.”

 

After The Fall, man made the mental faculty and the physical senses his main instruments of perception and agency.

 

*What does it mean to be justified?*

This is the act by which God moves a repentant person from a state of sin (injustice) to the state of grace (justice), and provides the new creature with a measure of faith to cancel the fallout of The Fall.

 

Faith is one of the spiritual technologies designed by God to enable man to operate at the level of the gods.

 

*Prayer Point 2*

Father, I receive the grace to understand that I have been justified by grace and endued with the capacity to live by the God-kind of faith.

 

3. *Isaiah 60:1* - “Arise, *shine*; for *your light* has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”

 

“Your ability to rise in this kingdom to the position of dominion that God has prepared for you and demonstrated in Jesus Christ is absolutely *light-dependent*.”

Father, let your word illuminate my heart, granting me revelation in the knowledge of Christ with  my eyes of my understanding being enlightened so that I may experience the reality of the exceeding greatness of Your power to us who have been justified by grace to live by faith.
