*Ephesians 2:1-7* - “And you He made alive, who *were* dead in *trespasses and sins*, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

 

4 *But God*, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and *made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus*, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

 

*What is the implication of raising us to sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus?*

It would have been more than enough, if God simply made us alive together with Christ and raised us up together in Him. But then, He proceeded to make us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ.

 

*When purpose is unknown, neglect is inevitable*

 

You cannot have the next-level dominion God wants you to possess if you do not occupy a seat at the table where destinies are determined, decrees are decided, matters are ratified, resources are allocated, the conditions for executions of laws and decrees are shaped.

 

Father I thank you for raising me up to sit in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I receive the revelation of this position and the authority You have granted me IJN.

 

 

*Why has God elevated us?*

*Ephesians 2:7* - “…that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

 

This new breed of men to whom He demonstrates the exceeding riches of His grace in Christ have:

 

1. Authority over spirits

*Luke 10:19* - “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and *all the power of the enemy*, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the *spirits are subjects to you*, but rather because your names are written in heaven.”

 

_trample on_: offensive power

_nothing shall by any means hurt you_: defensive power

 

2. Authority over conditions

*Hebrews 11:3* - By faith we understand that the worlds were *framed by the word of God*, so that the things which are seen were not made of things of things which are visible.”

 

_the worlds_: things which are seen

_the word of God_:  not made of the things which are visible.

 

3. Authority to rule and reign

*Matthew 16:19* - “And I will *give you the keys of the kingdom*, and whatever *you bind* on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever *you loose* on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

 

_the keys of the kingdom_: only keys turned in the right way and sequence work

_to bind and to loose_: to prohibit and permit, to teach or declare a thing to be unlawful or lawful

 

*The secret to complete dominion is oneness with Christ Jesus*

 

*What other entities and systems are in the heavenly places?*

*Ephesians 6:12* - “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the *heavenly places*.”

 

*Ephesians 3:8-10* - “To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10 *to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places*.”

 

The knowledge and spiritual understanding of the activities that happen in the heavenly places help us to appreciate the reason we have been invited to participate in the heavenly parliament. 

 

*Prayer Point 2*

In the name of Jesus Christ, every system and structure, set up in the heavenly places and making decisions and decrees contrary to Your plans for my life is dissolved, reversed, annulled now.

 

*Don’t just sit, make powerful rhema declarations!*

Therefore, it is time to recognise and take your seat in the heavenly places and make declarations based on God’s revealed word to you. I want to charge every man on this platform to be conscious of his position in the heavenly parliament - a place where decisions are made, destinies are determined, conditions are fashioned, and seasons are ordered.

 

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, and has invited you man, the head of your family to have a seat in the parliament. Your responsibility is to intercede and make divine declarations on the behalf of your family. Understand and always remind yourself that you are a spirit and the words you speak are spirit and they are life.

 

Your intentional action (*daily dying to self*) and declarations based on the rhema word of God activate spirits to go into action on your behalf.

 

*Revelation 12:11* - “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

 

*The secret to overcoming and having dominion is recognising the power in the blood, making declarations based on God’s revealed word, dying to self and living a life in the spirit in Christ Jesus.*
