“He that dwells in the *Secret Place* of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

 

1. The *Secret Place* is where God has designated and dedicated specifically for you to meet with Him.

 

To understand the concept of the *Secret Place*, study the life of king David and Apostle Paul.

“*One thing* I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the *house of the Lord* all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”

“I have spread out My hands all the day long to a rebellious and stubborn people,

The people who continually provoke Me to My face

*Sacrificing* [to idols] in gardens and making *offerings* with incense on bricks [instead of at the designated altar];

 

Who sit among the graves [trying to conjure up evil spirits] and spend the night in the *secret places* [where spirits are thought to dwell]”

Call unto Me (in The Secret Place), and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knows not.”

Father, I ask and receive a deep hunger and passion to seek after you. Open my eyes and ears to know and understand the secrets and mysteries you want to reveal to me and unveil in me.

 

2. The *Secret Place* is where you search out the mysteries of God concerning health, wealth, miracles, favour, protection etc. It is the place where God reveals His wisdom and secrets to those who dare to prospect for them.

 

*Nothing precious and of significant value is ever found on the surface.*

 

Intentional effort and allocation of time are always required. No shortcut to mining precious gems!

 

*Isaiah 45:3*

“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of *secret places*, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, who call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.”

 

*Psalm 27:5*

“For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the *secret places* of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock.”

 

*The secret of your visibility lies in your ability to stay hidden in the Secret Place.*

 

3. The *Secret Place* is where transformation, brokenness and heart-search take place.

 

*Psalm 51:17*

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.”

 

Fasting with praying is engaged to further open the hearing ears and seeing eyes. 

 

Here, you are more satisfied with His presence more than presenting your list of needs.

 

Gentlemen, don’t be deceived, there are indeed people that have access to the wisdom and the mysteries of God. According to 1 Corinthians 2:7, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the *hidden wisdom*, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.” These individuals are stewards of the mysteries of God (1 Corinthians 4:1).

 

If wisdom indeed is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7), I can assure you, it won’t be lying around! 

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter (Proverbs 25:2). *You are only honoured for what you examine and discover!*

Father, help me to apply my heart to wisdom regarding spiritual disciplines such as fasting with prayer. Guide me in the use of my time, energy, resources, and in making you my top priority.

 

4. The *Secret Place* is where divine intimacy births God-kind results

 

- In the secret place, you spend uninterrupted time where you:

- Sense God’s felt presence within you.

- Hear His voice speaking to you through His Word; or a soft impression on your heart and mind that will always align with His Word.

- Meet with the Trinity.

“Now at this time Jesus went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.”

“But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, *Who sees in secret*, will reward you in the open.”

 

5. The *Secret Place* is where you grow in grace and knowledge of Saviour Jesus Christ.

 

How will you manage time and schedule if you are a real estate consultant and Warren Buffet agrees to spend time with you and share trade secrets?

…a software designer/engineer/coder, and Bill Gates agrees to same?

…social psychology designer, and Mark Zuckerberg agrees to same?

…pastor of a church, and Mark Varughese agrees to same?

…online merchant, and Jeff Bezos agrees to same?

Father, help me to love you with all my heart, soul, and might. Let your grace and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of Christ Jesus in me.
