Topic: UNDERSTANDING YOUR SEASON of TRANSITION.
Content:
Luke 19:41 Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,
Luke 19:42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
Luke 19:43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,
Luke 19:44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
Life is all about constant transitions. Even car manufacturers understand this. That's why the gearbox system is all about transition.
As believers we must constantly transition to greater heights in all that we do. Our transitions comes with understanding of seasons. It comes with discernment and deliberate easing ourselves from the comfort Zone.
Things that engenders lack of ability to recognize when to transition.
1. Complacency -
Amos 6:1 Warnings to Zion and Samaria
Woe to you who are at ease in Zion,
And trust in Mount Samaria,
Notable persons in the chief nation,
To whom the house of Israel comes!.
2 . Comfortability -.
2 Samuel 11:1 David, Bathsheba, and Uriah
It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.
3. Forgetfulness - Deuteronomy 6, 7 and 8.
4. Pride-
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
Our transitions can be made smooth, even though it can come with upheavals, pains and sacrifices. God can make it smooth, smooth sailing and not rough, rough railing.
Prayer Points:
Your season of transition may demand a lot from you, but it is always for the good.
Your ability to recognize your season of transition is your first start to a great and exciting Journey.
2 Samuel 5:12 So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for the sake of His people Israel.
2 Samuel 5:13 And David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron. Also more sons and daughters were born to David.
2 Samuel 2:1 David Anointed King of Judah
It happened after this that David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?”
And the Lord said to him, “Go up.”
David said, “Where shall I go up?”
And He said, “To Hebron.”
2 Samuel 2:2 So David went up there, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite.
Make a painful decision. Never lose decisive moments. We can't dilly- dally our way through a transition.
Deuteronomy 1:6 “The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.
Deuteronomy 1:7 Turn and take your journey, and go to the mountains of the Amorites, to all the neighboring places in the plain, in the mountains and in the lowland, in the South and on the seacoast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates.
May I ask we come on board this journey of constant transition.
The prayer points are locked in here. We shall daily discover. Transition is a journey of discovery.
