*Jesus & the Samaritan woman:* John 4:1-42
*Questions from the story*
1. Why did Jesus decide to be at well at that time alone & in Samaria?
2. Why would all disciples even leave him alone at all?
Not one decided to stay back. There are no coincidences in God. Everything happens for a reason
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. *Romans 8:28 NLT*
3. Why would the woman go at this time of the day? Water is usually fetched in the morning or evening 🤔
He has made everything beautiful in its time.... *Ecclesiastes 3:11a NKJV*
4. Would the woman have approached the well if there were 12 Jewish men at the well?
• The woman could have missed her deliverance
• A great mile milestone achieved in bringing the reality of God to the world from this moment.
• Despite questionable time to fetch water, to God, she was at the right place the right time
5. What then is the power of testimony?
Prayer Points:
*Shifts the atmosphere*
Odd time to fetch water & disciples leaving Jesus ALONE brought her deliverance. After an encounter with Jesus, she ran and told the whole village her story, causing them to pay attention, be interested to see & hear for themselves, resulting in multitudes believing and getting saved.
*Changes life stories*
From the story, it looks like she was never believed nor listened to, but meeting Jesus changed her life, causing the words out of her mouth to be prompting and causing belief among her own people.
*John 4:42 NLT* Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Saviour of the world.”
*Priorities realigned to God*
The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see him. *John 4:28â€-‬30 NLT*
