Topic:  THE MOST IMPORTANT WEAPON IN WARFARE

Content:

*Joshua 1:2* - “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel."

Your conquest is not just for you. Many people are relying and depending on your resolve to be courageous and possess your Mountain of Influence.

When you are stepping into Moses' shoes, a guy who -
a. Literarily spoke mouth-to-mouth with God
b. God used to bring Egypt to her knees. God also made him to become like a God to Pharaoh.
c. Parted the Red Sea and brought forth water from a rock,

- you feel insanely inadequate and underprepared. Hence, you are not keen to rush into battle or take possession of any piece of real estate.

*Ecclesiastes 9:11* - “I again saw under the sun that the *race is not to the swift* and the *battle is not to the strong*, and *neither is bread to the wise* nor *riches to those of intelligence and understanding* nor *favor to men of ability*; but time and chance overtake them all.”

For a believer, the most important weapon, most valuable commodity in a time of war is not power nor speed nor intel or strategy. It is a peaceful mindset.

*John 16:33* - "I have told you these things, so that *in Me* you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. *In the world* you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] (AMPC)

For most believers however, we seem to experience more tribulation and trials than peace and confidence.

*Psalm 23:5* - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me"

Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Point 1*

Father, according to Psalm 23:5, I reject every assignment of fear to open the door of disappointment, distress and failure in my life, work or ministry today. I receive the spirit of power, love and a sound mind to establish your Kingdom in my situation. IJN

Fighting a battle or being in the middle of a challenge or adversity can seem like "walking through the valley of the shadow of death." But wait, I thought Psalm 23:1 promises, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He leads me..." If the Shepherd leads, how did I find myself in the shadow of the valley of death?

The journey through the valley of the shadow of death precedes your arrival at a place where "He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies."

*God’s strategy for elevation or lifting might look like being faced with adversity or the certainty of battle.*

In *Genesis 13:5-7,* the herdsmen of Abraham and Lot started a corporate fight which led to a massive split. But that was God's way of getting Lot to separate from Abraham so that he could  bring Abraham into his next level of abundance and inheritance.

In *Exodus 3:8,* God promised the children of Israel that He would deliver then out of the hand of the Egyptians, and bring them up into a good land flowing with milk and honey - the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivitites, and Jebusites. But the process will involve warfare and conquest. What Mountain of Influence are you set to conquer?

In *Philippians 2:8-11,* Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the Cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

*The path to dominion is conquest.*

*Prayer Point 2*
Father, according to *Isaiah 55:8-9,* I receive the spirit of wisdom and discernment to understand your thoughts and ways. Lord, be my Rock in every adversity. Train my hands for war and fingers for battle. Be my fortress, my stronghold and my shield. IJN

The three most important revelations that will sustain your peace during adversity, war or battle:

Presence
*Joshua 1:8* - "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; *as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.* 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Mercy
*Lamentation 3:22-23* - "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; *his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning*; great is your faithfulness."

Love
*Romans 8:35-39* - "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? *Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?* 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are *more than conquerors through Him who loved us.* 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, "nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God” which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

*Presence + Mercy + Love = Peace*

Presence, mercy and love combine to secure for you peace in the midst of the storm and battles of life.

*Prayer Point 3*
Father, according to *John 16:33*, I receive the perfect peace and confidence you promised as I go through the seasons of trials and distress. Lord, bring me into the land you have promised me - a land flowing with milk and honey, a place of rest and of super abundance and inheritance in the saints.
