Topic:  ACCORDING TO THE POWER IN YOU

Content:

*Luke 24:49* - “And behold, I will send forth upon you what My Father has promised; but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until *you are clothed with power* from on high.”

*Ephesians 3:20* - “Now to Him *who is able to do* exceedingly abundantly above all that *we ask or think*, *according to the power that works in us*”

1. “…who is able to do…”
2. “…we ask, think, or imagine…”
3. “…according to the power that works in me.”

*Mark 1:35-37* - Now in the morning, having risen a long *while before daylight*, He went out and departed to *a solitary place; and there He prayed*. And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. When they found Him, they said to Him, “*Everyone is looking for You.*” But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

1. In the place of prayer, you make a habit of talking to God before talking to men.

2. In the place of prayer, you discover and develop a grace, an anointing that all men will begin to seek you for.

3. In the place of prayer, you receive power that enables a believer to become a sign, a wonder, or a marvel.

*God will come and knock on the door of your heart to save you from your sin, but He will not knock to grant to you His power. You will have to seek and find Him.*

Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Point 1*

Father, I obtain the grace to chase after you in every season of my life. Help me to desire your presence all the days of my life.

*Matthew 14:22-25a* - “Immediately Jesus made the *disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side*, while he dismissed the crowd. *After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray*. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them.”

1. Despite the fact that Jesus had a habit of departing to a solitary place to pray in the morning, He still made it a priority to be alone in His Father’s presence after a ministration and before another discharge of power.

2. Corporate prayer is very much encouraged! But there are mysteries and wisdom God will only reveal to you in the Secret Place where He hides. God’s secrets are so precious, they are accessible only when you seek Him wholeheartedly.

*Prayer Point 2*
Father, I receive the grace to be still when I’m alone with you in the Secret Place. Enlighten my vision, grant me insight to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom.

*Matthew 14:25-29* - “*Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them*, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. *But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink*, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Peter was able to walk on water on the strength of Jesus’ word to him, “Come.” But he was unable to sustain the unthinkable miracle according to the power that worked in him. At least we know through the Scripture that Peter did not scheduled time to pray and receive power.

1. Time in God’s presence will grant you power that secure phenomenal speed.
2. Time in God’s presence will provide you with extraordinary possibilities. (Moses parted the Red Sea with the rod of God. Jesus walked at a breathtaking speed on the sea).

*Matthew 14:31-32* - “And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” *And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.*”

*Prayer Point 3*
Father, as I wait on you in the Secret Place, endue me with power from on high that I may experience your ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I may ask, think, or imagine.
