And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.*” Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”
The first Adam was tempted in the garden of Eden (overflowing with abundance), where Man could eat the fruit of the trees of the garden except of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The second Adam was tempted in the wilderness having fasted forty days and forty nights. *The devil can tempt a believer in any condition.*

1. *Spiritual identity*: According to Matthew 4:3, the devil will query your knowledge and understanding of who you are. His weapon: *Doubt*
2. *God-relationship*: If you know who you are, the devil will question your knowledge of the nature of God - His ability and integrity. His weapon: *Presumption*
3. *Worship*: If you know who you are and understand the nature of God, the devil will propose to give to you whatever you want the most of (whether he has it or not), if only you will worship him. His weapon: *Desire*
How red-hot is your desire for *things* other than God? That’s worship!
