Topic:  STARTING WELL AND ENDING WELL (PART 2)

Content:

*2 Kings 9:4-7* - “So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. And when he arrived, there were the captains of the army sitting; and he said, “I have a message for you, Commander.” Jehu said, “For which one of us?” And he said, “For you, Commander.” Then he arose and went into the house. And *he poured the oil on his head*, and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I have anointed you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel. *You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master*, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.”

Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Point 1*

Father, I receive the anointing and grace to start well, in my divine calling. The scripture says, "*And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.*" Help me to harken to your instruction and your leadership.

*2 Kings 10:28-31* - Thus Jehu destroyed Baal from Israel. However Jehu did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin, that is, from the golden calves that were at Bethel and Dan.

*Prayer Point 2*
Father, help me to fully submit to Your will in all things. Deliver me from selective obedience, and success that may lead to pride and complacency. Help me to take heed to remain humble, and let Your mercy prevail over judgment in my life.

*2 Kings 10:30-31* - “And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in doing what is right in My sight, and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, *your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.*” But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart; for he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin.”

*Prayer Point 3*
Father, I obtain the grace to surrender to you my whole heart. Help me to purse you with greater fervency and intensity; and as you expose the idols in my heart, I obtain the grace to forsake them totally.
