Content:
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.”
*Key points to learn from the Greatest Leader*
1. When the Spirit of God does a deep dive, He sees the unseen - “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.”
2. After intelligence gathering, it’s time for _light to be_. Light brings revelation.
3. God declares the end from the beginning (*Isaiah 46:10*)
“*A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others do*.” - LeRoy Eims
Vision
- Provides clarity of purpose
- Gives a sense of direction
- Furnishes inspiration, decision-making, and effectiveness
*Leaders _see_ the future*
When Disney World first opened, Mrs. Walt Disney was asked to speak at the grand opening because her husband, Walt, had recently died. She was introduced by a man who said, “Mrs. Disney, I just wish Walt could have seen this.” She stood up and said, “He did,” and sat down.
Just as Walt Disney “saw” Disney World in his mind, long before it was actually built, leaders have a picture in their minds about what their organization can look like in the future, and, as Warren Bennis says, they are willing to “disturb the present in the service of a better future.”
*Unbelievers see the future through their minds, we see the unseen through our minds and our spirits.*
A *Spiritual Education Leader* (Schools of the Prophets)
*2 Kings 2:1-2, 9-10* - “Now the time came for the Lord to take Elijah to heaven—by means of a whirlwind! Elijah said to Elisha as they left Gilgal, “Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “I swear to God that I won’t leave you!”
9 When they arrived on the other side Elijah said to Elisha, “What wish shall I grant you before I am taken away?” And Elisha replied, “*Please grant me twice as much prophetic power as you have had*.
10 “You have asked a hard thing,” Elijah replied. “*If you see me when I am taken from you, then you will get your request*. But if not, then you won’t.”
*Elisha saw Elijah taken*
*2 King 2:11-12* - “And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more…”
*Reflection*
But what would have happened if Elisha had desired three-fold of the grace Elijah operated in instead of two?
*Consequence of lack of vision*
*Proverbs 29:18* - “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (*KJV*)
*Proverbs 29:18* - “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law.” (*NKJV*)
*Key points*
1. There is risk of destruction by what is outside your field of vision.
2. Vision is a function of the revelation obtained in the light of God’s word.
3. The more you meditate on God’s word, the clearer your vision for navigation.
4. Meditating on God’s words provides visibility of the unseen.
*Prayer Point 1*
Father, help to meditate day and night on your word. Grant me the revelation that provides a clearer vision into the unseen as I lead IJN.
B *Household and Generational Leader*
*Genesis 13:14* - “After Lot was gone, the Lord said to Abram, “*Look as far as you can see in every direction, for I am going to give it all to you and your descendants*.” (*TLB*)
C *Community Leader*
*Jeremiah 1:11-12* - “Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, *what do you see*?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

*Acts 1:9-12* - “Now when He had spoken these things, *while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight*. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
*Acts 2:1-4* - “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 *Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance*.”
*Prayer Point 2*
Father, help me to persevere and develop the competency to see the unseen as I lead. IJN
What one thing is required to see the unseen?
*FAITH*
*Where does this faith to see the unseen come from?*
*Ephesians 2:8-9* - “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, *it is the gift of God*; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Faith is a gift of God’s grace…it grants us the ability to apprehend the unseen.
*Hebrews 11:1* - “Now faith is…the evidence of things not seen.”
*Key points*
1. Leaders are individuals of intentional faith.
2. The reality leaders experience in all sphere of life are created from seeing things that are unseen.
3. As a leader (in your respective right), what do you see?
