Topic:  UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF LOCATION

Content:

 *Luke 19:4*

So, he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

Zacchaeus was especially unpopular as he was a chief tax collector in Jericho and a wealthy man. However, he must have realized that his life needed to change and he was determined to see Jesus – even though this meant climbing a tree.

In the real estate industry, the location of a property plays a crucial role in the decision to buy/rent the property. Where a property is located will always be a significant factor in determining its overall value as an investment.

The Bible outlines God’s emphasis on the importance of location as a prerequisite for receiving His blessings. Abram got an instruction from God to leave his homeland, people, and father's household and go to the place that God will reveal to him – his blessing was location-based!! *Genesis 12: 1-3*

Mountains were also symbolic locations in the Bible:
- Noah's ark rested after the flood
- Moses received the 10 commandments
- Jesus prayed before his arrest and crucifixion and later ascends into heaven
- Jesus' transfiguration before his disciples' eyes
- Elijah called God to light a sacrifice on fire, proving to the Prophets of Baal that He's the one true God
- Jesus was tempted!

*What’s your location got to do with IT(God’s Blessings)?*
If God is all-knowing, everywhere at the same time with unlimited power and resources, why would he want us to be at the right location before blessing us?

“*I will stand at my watch and ‘STATION’ myself on the walls*; …” (Habakkuk 2:1)

1. God needs our *undivided attention* on what He’s about to do. He wants to have a relationship that is devoid of the many distractions around us and often times, He chooses to separate us from them (2 Corinthians 6:17a).
2. God sees us as *instruments* to help Him carry out His plans for generations to come (Esther 4:14b)..
Some locations aren't our final destinations, they are just "stops"/"layovers"/stepping stones (Esther 2: 8-9)
3. He *loves and cares* for you and wants you to fulfil your glorious destiny. This would be totally impossible if you’re not divinely located (Genesis 26:2-3).

Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Points*

1. Ask God to help you to develop a Child-Father relationship with Him, in order to understand the location of your blessings (Isaiah 30:21).
2. Ask God to disconnect you from relationships you need to let go of, and bring you closer to the ones you need to fulfil your destiny and his will for your life
3. Let us declare the words of Isaiah 58:11 upon ourselves! “*Lord, always show me where to go. Give me a full life in the emptiest of places - firm muscles, strong bones. Make me a well-watered garden, and a gurgling spring that never runs dry*”
4. Ask God to bless you with the strength to be patient, and listening spirit (Gen 26:5)
