2 Timothy 3:16-17

*Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration)* and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

 

Acts 8:26-31,34

But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, Rise and proceed southward or at midday on the road that runs from Jerusalem down to Gaza. This is the desert [route]. So he got up and went. And behold, an Ethiopian, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to worship. And he was [now] returning, and sitting in his chariot he was reading the book of the prophet Isaiah. Then the [Holy] Spirit said to Philip, Go forward and join yourself to this chariot. Accordingly Philip, running up to him, heard [the man] reading the prophet Isaiah and asked, Do you really understand what you are reading? And he said, How is it possible for me to do so unless someone explains it to me and guides me [in the right way]? And he earnestly requested Philip to come up and sit beside him. And the eunuch said to Philip, I beg of you, tell me about whom does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?'

 

 

The logos (The Scriptures) covers the entirety of our everyday life. It seems to me, that ALL the scope of life is covered. From sciences to humanities to administration and governance, family life and relationships, life beyond this world, etc.

A quote from a dear man of God -Everything you will ever need in life is wrapped up in the Word; go for the Word.

The logos (The Scriptures) is for our proficiency. Love it, and make it your companion.

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. 

 

1 Holy Spirit, inspire me as I study the scriptures and bring the scripture to my remembrance.

2 Lord, help me align my everyday life to the scriptures.

3. Lord, make me profit immensely from the scriptures and my profiting impacting the world around me.
