Content:

*Psalm 35:27* - “Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who *favour my righteous cause*; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the *prosperity of His servant*.”

_*Servant*_: a person employed in the service of a government.

“Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of a kingdom diplomat employed in the service of the government (God's kingdom) headed by God Himself.

*Joshua 1:2-3* - “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses."

*Reflections*

1. Don't be intimidated by others' personality, achievements or successes. The same God that has a plan for them, has a plan for you too. You are a piece in God's master strategy to establish His kingdom - His reign and rule - on earth.

The earth is still the Lord’s (Psalm 24:1), but He wants to give back to you the management of it that Adam and Eve gave to Satan. So arise, go over *your Jordan*, you and all the people to the land which He has given to you and them.

The *waters of Jordan* represent freedom from oppression, breakthrough, deliverance.

2. What do you do when you have to step into the shoes of a larger-than-life predecessor?
a. Understand the secrets of your predecessor
b. Understand the principles he honoured or violated
c. Understand his strength and his weaknesses

Prayer Points:

 *Prayer Point 1*

Father, you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. So I proceed without any sense of intimidation to possess all that you have promised me. I declare my Christ-identity as I recognise who I am in you. IJN.

*Reflections*

3. As a kingdom diplomat responding to the King, possession of your territory will ensure that other people connected to you are also blessed. You should have a sense of urgency especially concerning those who will benefit from your gifts, action and service.

4. Allow your goals to align with kingdom mandate. Seek God's will for your goals.

5. Though success is predictable, you’ve got to work for it as you acknowledge His Presence with you. He has a plan for you, but you have to work out the plan.

*Prayer Point 2*

Father, the Scriptures declare that in the day of God’s power, the people shall be willing (Psalm 110:3). I receive the strength and motivation to work while it is still day. I receive the grace to do your will in all my endeavours. Help me to find my way in your will IJN.

*Joshua 1:8* - " This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

*Reflections*

6. Joshua, a military commander and strategist, was commanded to set aside time for meditation on God’s law day and night.

a. To meditate means "to seek understand the application of a concept.” In other words,  you must *_observe to do_*.

b. You can never be too busy to meditate. Schedule, plan for it, do it!

c. You are not above God's laws or principles. Simply put, *_ that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it_*

d. *John 16:13* - “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

*Joshua 1:8b* - "For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

7. “You way” suggests your approach, method, or strategy.

*Joshua 23:14* - “Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that *not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you*. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.”

8. Success is predictable if you:
a. Seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, understanding His will.
b. Understand the principles undergirding what is to be achieved
c. Understand the conditions necessary and sufficient for the attainment of the goal
d. Stay strong. (The lion though strong, can wait patiently for the right time to pounce on her prey).

*Prayer Point 3*

Father, as I meditate on your word day and night, open my eyes to the right strategies concerning all that you have committed to my hands. Guide me that my way be prosperous, and that I may have good success.
