Topic:  DECLUTTER THE GUT

Content:

 *Matthew 23:25-26* , Luke 12:16-21

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First, clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean."

The "*Gut*" of any system or entity refers to the inner essential parts. It’s the core/central/fundamental aspect of that system:

*Business*: The gut of the company lies in its innovative product development.
*Technology*: The gut of the computer system is its central processing unit (CPU).
*Organization*: The gut of a charitable organization is its dedicated volunteers.
*Mechanical System*: The gut of the car engine is the combustion chamber.
*Spiritual Life*: The gut of our spiritual journey is our personal relationship with God through prayer and meditation on His Word.

In the human body, a healthy gut contributes to overall well-being and helps the body mount a robust defense against illnesses and infections – what we call a Strong Immune System!

*WHERE CAN WE DECLUTTER?*

*Health:*
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Think of your body as a temple. Just as we clean and maintain our homes, we should care for our bodies.
Research shows that cluttered and stressful environments can negatively impact physical health. Decluttering your living space can lead to better health outcomes.

*Relationships:*
Ephesians 4:31-32
Relationships are like gardens. We must remove the weeds of bitterness and anger to cultivate healthy relationships.
Forgiveness and communication are key to decluttering emotional baggage in relationships.

*Marriage:*
Proverbs 18:22
Marriage is a precious treasure! We must remove distractions and prioritize our spouses.
Spending quality time with our spouse and decluttering external commitments can strengthen our marriages. Also, lingering unresolved conflicts and a lack of effective conflict-resolution skills can lead to ongoing distractions and tension in the marriage.

*Business:*
Proverbs 24:3-4
A successful business is like a well-organized toolbox. Eliminating inefficiencies and focusing on core values can lead to growth.

*Spiritual Life:*
1 Corinthians 3:16
Our hearts are God's dwelling place. Decluttering sin and worldly desires allows His Spirit to work in us.
Regular prayer, fasting, and Bible study are ways to declutter our spiritual lives and draw closer to God.

*Lifestyle:*
Hebrews 12:1:
A cluttered lifestyle can be a stumbling block. We must remove hindrances to run the race of faith effectively.
Look at individuals who simplified their lives, embraced minimalism, and found greater peace and contentment.

*HOW CAN WE DECLUTTER?*

1. *Start Small - Begin with one area of your life, such as your physical space or digital clutter.*
Matthew 6:33 – Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.

2. *Prioritize - Identify what truly matters in each area of your life*
Colossians 3:2 – Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

3. *Let Go - Release grudges, material possessions, and negative habits*
Philippians 3:13-14 – Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.

4.  *Eliminate Distractions: Identify and reduce distractions in your life*
 Psalm 46:10 – Be still……
