The devil is the god of this world, and he is not your friend. The devil will use the devices at his disposal to separate you from your maker. The devil's potent device is your soul.
2 Corinthians 4:4 says for the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
The one in charge of your soul directs the course of your life. Do everything you can for God, not the devil, to have the charge over your soul. Circumstances of life can overwhelm us, enabling the devil to take charge of our souls, but like the Psalmist in 103:1-2, say to your soul - bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Always speak to your soul in line with God's promises and not what your circumstance dictates in order for God to take control of your soul and consequently the circumstance.
1 John 5:4 says for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. The only way to overcome the devil is to connect with the supernatural to overcome him in the natural. It is our souls he can have power over and not God's Spirit that leaves within us.
Hence, always be in tune with the Holy Spirit to overcome the works of the devil. Apostle Paul said in II Corinthians 2:11 that Satan should not take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.
There are subtle devices of the devil that can enable him to take charge of our souls and hinder our prayers. Psalms 139:23-24 says search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

PRAYERS 1. Like the Psalmist, let's bless the Lord for 2023 as the year draws to an end.
2. Let's bless the Lord for specific blessings in our lives in 2023. 3. Let's bless the Lord because His love and blessings will continually be with us from 2023 to 2024. Lamentations
3:22-23 - Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
4. Lord, help us discover the devil's devices in our lives and grant us the grace to overcome them.
5. Lord, grant us the grace to amend the broken hedges in our relationships with our spouses, children, the body of Christ and people in general. Ecclesiastes 10:8 - He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh a hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
6. Lord, grant us the grace to lay aside every weight and sin that hinders our prayers. Hebrews 12:1 says therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
