Topic:  GOD’S BLANK CHEQUE - THE WORDS OF A BELIEVER

Content:

John 1:1-3 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Reflections 1. Why did God the Father reveal the second person of the Trinity as the Word?

2. Why did He grant us a language-capacity to express thoughts (imagination) in words? Perhaps to function like God? The Word: Logos means expressing the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit. Therefore, the will of God can be rephrased as the expression of the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit. As Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15), The Word, Jesus Christ is the physical manifestation of the expression of the thought of Father through the Spirit. An image is an expression of thought. Mark 11:23 - “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” One of the most potent declarations in the universe is - I believe that the things I say will be done Three principles that are vital in having whatever you say: 1. Mark 9:23 - “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”” 2. Psalm 113:20 - “Praise the LORD, you angels of His. Praise Him, you mighty ones who carry out his orders and obey his word.” (NIRV) Your words have the signature of your heart.

3. John 6:63 - “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” Just as the words Christ speaks to you are spirit and are life, the words you speak are also spirit and life. Why? Because you function like God. Another way to read John 6:63 is “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are living.” The words you speak are therefore spirit and are living.

 Action Points on Mark 11:23

1. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain…” This is applicable to ‘Whoever’, which includes you and me, not just Jesus Christ. Do you believe in Jesus to trust His word? He initiated this principle by giving us a word of assurance. Decide to speak to your challenge and not about your challenges. There is an assurance of result given to people who speak to their problem. Honestly, if you are still struggling to speak God’s word, don’t say anything! Wait until you can declare God’s word. Because what you say becomes your reality.

2. “Be removed and be cast into the sea.” Knowledge and understanding of God’s will about the situation is critical. Say to the issue what Christ would say to it. His will is captured in His word. Be specific in the outcome you expect. Declare the expected outcome based on the knowledge of God’s word.

Prayer Points:

Prayer Point 1 Father, according to your will in [insert scripture] I speak to the mountain [be specific about the challenge], the issue, the challenge today, be removed and be cast into the sea [insert what exactly your expectations are according to the word of God]. I thank You because I know you hear me, and whatever I ask of You, I know I have the petitions that I have asked of You IJN. 3. “…does not doubt in his heart…” To doubt is to “thoroughly judge back-and-forth” or “vacillating.” If you doubt, your heart will typically default to produce negative outcomes.

Prayer Point 2 Father, any unforgiveness, disappointment, offense, spiritual or psychological event or injury that may have programmed my heart for negative outcomes, I repent of them today and I receive your healing even as I apply the blood of Jesus over my heart IJN. 4. “…but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” There is a connection or relationship between your heart integrity, what your mouth is speaking and the outcome you are having. If what you are speaking is different from what you are getting, then you need a heart-check.

Prayer Point 3 Father, I declare my heart is a fruitful soil that believes and produces fruits consistent with Your word and Your will. I guard my heart with all diligence because out of it comes the issues of life. Grant me the grace to only declare and speak what Christ would say in my situation. Help my words, my heart (subconscious mind), and my mind (thoughts) to be aligned and be consistently united so that I can have whatever I declare according to Your word IJN.
