TRAINED TO WALL 1 John 5:4-5 - For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 - “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
1. Jesus had the faith to commit the message meant for the whole world mainly to fishermen - untrained men.
2. The journey to impact is not what you think!
3. The greatest impact you can have on people is the impact on what they believe - about God, their identity, purpose for existence,what truly matters etc.
4 Categories of Men - Those who walk by faith and not by sight. - Those who walk by sight and not by faith. - Those who walk by faith and by sight. - Those who neither walk by faith nor by sight. When last did you walk by faith in your personal life, work, business, ministry, marketplace?
Hebrews 11:1 - “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.” For we walk by the evidence of things not seen, not by sight. Therefore, to overcome the world, you have to learn to walk by the evidence of things not seen, and not by sight. Part I Motion does not equate progress. Not every movement is advancement. Faith is vision in the spirit. ’To walk’ suggests purposeful action with relevant feedback. Faith is supernatural, sight is natural.
Part II
1. Walking by sight is walking in spiritual darkness.
2. In Genesis 3:6-7, Man exchanged faith for sight. Two types of seeing and knowledge “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked…”
3. The natural man depends of his five physical senses to navigate.
According to Hebrews 11, understand the following:
1. Seeing the walls of Jericho still standing on Day six does not mean faith is not in action.
2. Your fate is not defined by what you have been in the past but Who you believe in the now.
3. As you think in your in heart, so are you. You are from the pedigree of champions - overcomers.
4. Not until you believe the incredible power resident in faith, you will not labour to activate it.
5. The adversary of faith are your natural five senses (gates into your soul).
Prayer Points:
Prayer Point 1 Father, I receive the revelation behind walking by faith, that is walking by the evidence of things not seen.
Prayer Point 2 Father, help me to not be moved by what I see, ear, feel or perceive. As I guard myself with the shield of faith, let my mind be protected from arrows of doubt or unbelief launched by Satan or his cohort. IJN
Prayer Point 3 Father, help me to persevere until I see the triumph of faith. Let my faith in You align with the conviction that what You have spoken You are able to do. IJNšš¾
