 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 - " For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"

1. Stronghold: (okh-oo-ro-mah) Fortified military stronghold; a prison. Anything on which one relies - of the arguments and reasoning by which a disputant endeavours to fortify his opinion and defend it against his opponent. Strongholds define your reality and expectation of what is possible. Strongholds can be in the area of finances, health, relationships, assignment, business, marketplace or possibility. Mental strongholds responsible for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post trauma stress disorders, personality difficulties etc.

2. High Thing: (hoop-so-mah) Things elevated; barrier/blockade; pride

3. Argument: (logismos) A reasoning that reflects someone's values; reaching a personal opinion, judgment or decision 4. Thought: (no-ay-mah) Mental perception. The personal verdict that comes out of using the mind. Every believer is involved in a warfare. (1 Timothy 1:18) 2. Words spoken from a heart of unbelief can ‘disrupt’ the fulfilment of things spoken by God. (Luke 1:20; Luke 1:45) 3. Deployment of spiritual weapons can have significant impact in the mental realm. 4. Thoughts, arguments, high things, and stronghold can disrupt your heart-health. 5. Your thoughts can have eternal consequences. 6. There are weapons of warfare that are divinely charged to the pulling down of or demolition of strongholds. What in your life is exalting itself against the knowledge of God? Gnosis - fundamental (working) knowledge gleaned from personal experience. What in your life is exalting itself against the working knowledge gleaned from personal experience of God? The Nature of Content to Constantly Expose Yourself to Philippians 4:8 - “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realised. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”

Prayer Points: 

 1. Father, through divine insight I recognise specific strongholds in my life today and I deploy the appropriate weapon of warfare to demolish every stronghold in my life, in my finances, in health, in my relationships etc.IJN

2. Father, through the weapons of warfare You have provided I cast down arguments and every high thing that rages in my mind exalting itself against the knowledge of God. IJN

3. Father, through the weapons of warfare You have given me, I bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of God. IJN
