Praise God.

There is no prayer that can begin with out placing yourselves in a posture of thankfulness. Lets us thank God for all he has done. Look back into your past year or years and thank God for all he has done. We Slip and slide yet he restores. For he has Chosen us and in him we are redeemed.

Lets thank the Lord for the path ahead, lets thank him for hurdles completed that we do not know off. Let us thank him for overcoming diseases that we are about to be burdened with. Lets us thank him for the near misses that he will help us avert. Let us thank him for the relationships we will make . Let us thank him for the relationships that he will helpm us restore. Let us thank him for the financial burdens he will help us overcome.

 

Isaiah 55:8-9

 

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the LORD.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

 

Job 22:21-22

 

“Submit to God and be at peace with him;

in this way prosperity will come to you.

Accept instruction from his mouth

and lay up his words in your heart.

 

Prayer of adoration and thanks giving.

 

2. Be an Instrument for GOD:-

 

John 15:16

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit —fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

 

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not —to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

 

Your purpose in life is predestined. God has trained you and taught you . He has given you knowledge and wisdom. Like bro Eddy shared some time back about being in the understanding of God and working and steering through life with the wisdom and knowledge of God is what can ascertain the right path you need to take in very aspect of life.

Yes, it all begins with being able to be Intune with the Holy Spirit. Training your spiritual ears to hear his voice loudly every second of your life.

When we are his instrument the impossible becomes possible. You will defy the forces of nature so that Glory will be gained for him our Maker.

We will see that in all we are directed to do the final goal will be peace in him.

Lord make me an instrument of your peace

3. Feeling the pain:-

 

Luke 6:20-24

 

Looking at his disciples, he said:

“Blessed are you who are poor,

for yours is the kingdom of God.

Blessed are you who hunger now,

for you will be satisfied.

Blessed are you who weep now,

for you will laugh.

Blessed are you when people hate you,

when they exclude you and insult you

and reject your name as evil,

because of the Son of Man.

“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

 

 

I believe prayer is most effective when you feel the pain of something in need. I believe persevering in prayer when needs are unmet is important. I believe feeling the pain brings out prayer from the core of your heart.

It is difficult to explain the phenomenon of how the brain which is the main centre that integrates senses makes you feel heavy in the  centre of your chest when you have deep emotions. You will realise that in those emotional circumstances the automatic response is for your hand to be placed close to your heart. This for me is evidence that a Spirit resides within us , it is this spirit that needs to be our driving force in prayer and deeds captained by the Holy Spirit of God.

 

Lord help me feel the spiritual pain. I pray that I our prayers are not mere opening of lips but a communication to you every time we do it. Lord remind us never to be superficial in our communication with you. Lord break every plan of the enemy that he may intend to break this deep connection between you and me
