Isaiah 9:6 - “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

 

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

 

Spiritual Truths

1. The greatest gift to mankind is the gift of our Father’s begotten Son to restore us back to His family. This is One Gift that keeps giving.

 

Romans 8:32 - “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

 

2. God has freely given to us all things. A gift is not of benefit until it is received, appreciated and appropriated by the beneficiary.

 

2 Peter 1:3 - “For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”

 

3. The intention of the Gift is a three-fold restoration - firstly, restoration of life; and secondly, restoration of position, and thirdly, restoration of government.

 

Mark 1:15 - “and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

 

4. A key requirement to enjoy all that our Father has given is to believe and live in faith in God.

 

Hebrews 11:6 - “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

 

5. The main purpose of Gift to us is to establish the government and peace of the kingdom of God here on earth.

 

Matthew 6:10 - “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

1. Father, I thank You for You so loved me and gave Jesus Christ to restore me back to You. I will forever be grateful.

 

2. Father, I declare there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit who gives life has set me free from the law of sin and death.

 

3. Father, as I celebrate your birth today, I recognise the requirement to believe and to live by faith because I have been justified. I believe and receive by faith, with thanksgiving, all that you have given to me that pertain unto life and godliness in every area - relationships, business, ministry, marketplace, family, health, finance etc.
