There are some benefits of the new creation realities that will be experienced as a result of God's sovereignty. There are others however that you will only enjoy as an outcome of your ability to believe God.

 

Matthew 8:5-13 - Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”

 

7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

 

8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

 

10 When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

 

Your reality is possibly a reflection of your belief. You act or fail to act based on what you believe.

 

SEVEN FACTORS THAT PREVENT YOU FROM BELIEVING

 

1. Boundaries - Failure to guard our heart. | Proverbs 4:23 - "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life."

 

2. Evidence - Struggle to hold on to what the word says or promises in the face of contrary physical evidence. | 2 corinthians 5:7 - "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

 

3. Love - Failure to love God and His word wholeheartedly. | Psalm 119:97 - "Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day."

 

4. Invariability - Failure to practice 'The Art of Standing.' | Ephesians 6:11 - "Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

 

5. Emotions - Allowing yourself to be led by your emotion. | Peter 4:12-13 - "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy."

 

6. Values - Not considering it worthwhile to invest time and energy in developing the 'Belief' virtue. | 2 Peter 1:5-8 - "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

 

7. Expectation - Not convinced that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. | Hebrews 11:6 - " But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

1. Father, I receive the grace to bring under your authority any unbelief in me that may jeopardise the exploits you have predestined for me in life, ministry and the marketplace IJN (Matthew 13:58)

 

2. According to Joshua 1:8, I declare I shall meditate on God's word day and night, that may observe to according to all that is written it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success IJN.

 

3. Father, according to Ephesians 6:10, I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. I come against, by the grace of Christ, all factors that contribute to unbelief in my life. As I acknowledge the whole armour of God over me, I stand against the wiles of the devil, and having done all, to stand IJN.
