I Verse 1: "Why do the nations rage...?

 

The emotional state of your adversary that is linked to a cause is rage: extreme anger, indignation, wrath, hostility, malice, aggravation.

 

Your desire to see the will of God established in your life has to supersede the emotion of your adversary.

 

Prayer Point

Father, I activate the desire and passion to see the establishment of Your will in my life, family and ministry. As Jesus said In John 4:34, "My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work."

 

"...and the people imagine a vain thing?

 

Let God imprint an image of possibilities of victory, exploits and success in your mind. God is willing to write the vision in your heart. He is willing to make it plain, so that as you engage you can run with it.

Father, let me behold wondrous things from your law. Imprint your vision in me. Let me see what you see and let me see accurately IJN. 

 

II Verse 2: "The kings of the earth set themselves..."

 

Whatever is an adversary to you want to take control of your life. The elements that are seeking control of your life, relationship, business, ministry, church, suburb, nation are more than one. However, for them to be effective, they are united and in agreement.

 

Agreement of every part of you that is involved (spirit, soul and body), or everyone involved is crucial. Be careful of the mindset, "The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Build capacity. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 

 

"...and the rulers take counsel together..."

 

Rulers issue degree, laws and orders that are carried out and actioned against you. Kings and rulers unite against the Lord.

 

You cannot afford your adversary to be more united, organised and willing than you, your family, your group or your community.

 

Strategy is important. Wait on God for wisdom and instruction. There has to be agreement in vision, language, speech that lead to coordinated resistance as you submit to God. The only fight we are commanded to fight is the fight of faith. This is only way we can established the will of the King.

 

Prayer Point

Father, I acknowledge the whole armour of God on me, I submit to you, resist the adversary and stand in faith. I come against every counsel against me, my family, my business, my community, and nation in the name above every other name. I declare the counsel of evil shall not prevail nor prosper IJN.

 

III Verse 3: "Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cord from us."

 

In other words, your adversary does not want to subscribe to the Lordship of God.

 

Not only do you need to submit to the Lordship of God, you have to be willing to put in the required work.

 

Prayer Point

Father, I receive the grace to add work to my faith. I come against every distraction, lethargy, lack of motivation, loss of focus and concentration, sense of wanting to remain at ease etc. Help me to have a sense of urgency to engage in what is required of me to bring glory to Your name and to experience Your exploits in my life and ministry IJN.
