1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. 

 

2 It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.

 

3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.” (NLT)

 

Why should reflections on the resurrection of Christ be important to you?

1. You identify with death of some sort - relationships, vision, dream, business, ministry, opportunities etc.

2. The human mind likes to entertain the possibility of regaining or bringing back to life what was lost.

3. You want to tap into the power of resurrection.

Why do we need to understand “The Mystery of Life?”

1. The Holy Spirit which raised Jesus Christ from the dead is also resident in us (Romans 8:11).

2. Whatever is spiritual cannot die.

3. Whatever has its source in God is programmed to overcome (1 John 5:4)

 

Let’s explore these principles

1. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”

2. In the spirit realm, things do not die. They can be assigned, reassigned or unassigned.

3. In the physical, things expire and die. Satan wants you to believe and live this reality.

 

John 10:10 

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come to that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

 

4. Jesus knew this when He went to raise Lazarus. This is underscored in John 11:11, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

5. Jesus did not stay dead when He was raised, He rose up.

 

Now that you recognise these principle, how can you take advantage of it?

1. Romans 8:11

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.”

2. James 2:26

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.”

 

> You are spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body.

 

3. The spirit quickens.

4. You are immortal in one form or the other, because you are spirit.

5. Visions, ideas, seeds planted by God cannot die. They are reassigned if the vessel chooses to believe only in the principle of death.

 

Joshua 1:1-2

“After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them - the children of Israel.”
