Topic: MY LITTLE LOAF AND FISH IN THE HANDS OF JESUS
Content:
Mark 6: 34-37, John 6:7-13
The need:
(Mark 6: 35-36) “Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.”
The Lad:
(John6:9) "There is a lad here." The Providence of God had sent him. There is no need we would ever face for which God has not made provision for.
The touch of the hands of Jesus:
(John6:11) “Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.”
“Everything is safe which we commit to Him, and nothing is really safe which is not so committed.” – AW Tozer –
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.-Jim Elliot-
Prayer points:
1. Open my eyes to see Your Providence - the five loaves and two fishes around me, even as insignificant as they might seem, in the midst of the overwhelming needs in the world around me.
2. Like the little Lad, help me to dare to step out each time to give You what’s in my hands, to do what I could - mark 14:8 “..she did what she could”
3. Oh Lord I want to witness the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God. (Psalms2:8) “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”(Habakkuk 2:14) “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea”
