1. Being instrumental:

Good morning gentlemen come today again to praise the saviour who is worthy to be praised. He is the king of kings and  Lord of Lords . He intercedes for us in heaven and has sent down an interceder for us earth . The Holy Spirit a guide with an eternal navigation system .

 

1 Corinthians 9:19

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

 

Paul in his letter to the Corinthians writes in 1 Corinthians 9:19 that I am free and belong to no one but I am a slave to everyone because I want to win everybody else to the Lord. 

 

I am always really encouraged by the way Paul took up the gospel in his time Reaching out to every kind of person .It’s easy to be a Christian amongst Christians. But how are we amongst people who have not heard the gospel?  Are we being open to people so that the Lord can work through us in places beyond the church in places where he is needed  most .I’m sure all of us have got an opportunity to lift him high in places where it counts . to recognise our inner Kaling to recognise what the Lord wants us to be so that his gospel is benefited to the people he takes us to. You may have to be a slave. You may have to be walking in communities that are full of men and women who don’t even recognise Jesus Christ or have not even  heard about Jesus Christ . This is where the Lord will use you as a light . 

 

I recall a certain incident a few days ago when I went on a camping trip I shared this to brother Ronnie.surprisingly a discussion started over an evening meal on Religion and religious acts . One of my friends who is by birth a Hindu says , “I don’t really understand Hinduism as I feel nothing when go to the temple”.

 

When hearing this , I could hear Holy Spirit saying Basil now say something and I got the opportunity to share my testimony . Why we went on the camping trip and why should they be all people of a different religion who are actually my friends? I questioned God . But that moment answered it all.

gentlemen are we able to hear the voice of the Spirit ? Are we able to spread the gospel and show people the true meaning of Christ. That it is  not a religion but in fact it is a relationship.

 

I believe God has trained all of us to be where we are because he intended us to be exactly where we are and he has made us run the race not for materialistic benefits but for his purpose and that is something that is to be celebrated about . The fact that God has chosen you is the only reason we should be celebrating. 

 

Proverbs 23:26

My son, give me your heart

and let your eyes delight in my ways,

 

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

 

Paul does teach us about self-discipline. He tells us how to run a race and train for  this race so that when we do preach or talk about our saviour others will be benefited. We run a race to get a crown and that crown is to win people over in the long run you are already sanctified by the blood of lamb.  Now use that sanctification so that others may come into the same perview . 

 

Remember that in this journey the devil will definitely try to tempt you. He will show you paths that will make you doubt whether your belief is  real or not . But gentlemen that’s when we need stay Strong and firm knowing our true crown. Let’s not get disqualified in the process. 

 

Prayer : Thank you father for placing me where I am . Help me hear your voice and help me share the Joy and peace of knowing your grace. Let the knowledge of the gospel flow out of me with out hesitation . 

 

2. Praying for our mothers and our women . 

Today is Mother’s Day so let’s put into prayer the women in our life who have nursed us .

I am so glad to be in an occupation when I get to see first hand the Joy of mother when her baby is born. An immediate attachment that is developed like the child and mum have known each other for a. Wry long time even though the child has just be born. Is a feeling that is actually viable in the room . 

 

John 16:21

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.

 

Proverbs 31:25-27

She is clothed with strength and dignity;

she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom,

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household

and does not eat the bread of idleness.

 

Prayer: let’s pray for our women , our mothers . Let’s pray for our wives who are mothers to turn children . Let’s pray for their sanctification. Let’s pray for their health. Let’s pray for their determination 

 

 

3. The perfect creator 

 

Our Father is the perfect creator . He made the human body with such perfection that even the greatest engineers cannot fathom this “divine engineering “ 

If look at any system in your body you will marvel how beautiful this divine engineering is . 

 

So why do we hesitate to trust in his plans. 

Such a magnificent engineer will definitely have the most full proof plan for our lives . 

He has proved it even in our salvation . The full proof plan that you and I can be saved despite our unworthiness. The blood of our saviour shed on the cross for our sanctification . 

 

There is no better insurance than this too. A “devine economist”

 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 

you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

 

Prayer of thankfulness for allowing us to know you God . To talk to you and to communicate with you. Thank you for the Holy spiri in our lives as our “divine navigator
