Romans 8:19 - For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for the sons of God to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].

 

The Nature of the Sons of God 

1. Genesis 1:26,28 - “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeping on the earth. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

 

2. 1 Corinthians 15:49 - “Andrew as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.”  

 

3. Ephesians 1:5 - “having predestination us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”

 

4. John 1:12-13 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who are were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God.” 

 

5. 2 Peter 1:3-4 - “As His divine nature has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by the glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.  

 

6. Romans 8:14-15 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “ABBA, Father.”

 

7. Psalm 82:6 - “I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.” 

 

8. Matthew 5:9 - “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.”

 

9. Matthew 5:44-45 - “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

 

10. Romans 9:26 *- “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There they shall be called *sons of the living God.”

 

Implications of The Revelation of the Sons of God

* Cosmic Redemption: Verse 18 suggests that God's redemptive plan is not limited to human beings but extends to all of creation.

* Legacy thinking: The cosmic scale of the verse might prompt fathers to think about the legacy they're leaving - not just in terms of material success, but in terms of positive impact on souls and in God’s Kingdom.

You have been given the answer to pressing challenges that cry out for resolution. Your worth is immeasurable, your potential in God  infinite! The scope of your positive influence on this world knows no bounds.

Pray Father I thank You for the increasing revelation and the manifestation of Your son, Jesus Christ, in me in every area of life. Let Your divine nature bring under subjection every work of the kingdom of darkness. I exercise the dominion You have given me over the power of the enemy IJN.
