Content:

1.      Greetings!

2.      Pre-sermon declarings

-          1 Chronicles 16:34: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

-          Psalm 95: 1- 5

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.

For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.

In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

3.      Prayers for Adoration and thanksgiving

4.      Introduction

Becoming Gods battle axe- from Jeremiah 51:20

In seasons of war, you will need encouragement just like soldiers encourage each other and how their commander encourages them.

In battle – don’t move in until you have made peace that the battle is the Lords and victory belongs to him. Knowledge for battle is key and very strategic.

Definition of encouragement: the action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope; persuasion to do or to continue something; the act of trying to stimulate the development of an activity, state, or belief.

5.     Fire scriptures:

Joshua 1:7, Joshua 1:9

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

1 Thes. 5:11 - 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

1 Thes. 2:12 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

1 Thes. 3:7 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

1 Thes. 4:18 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Proverbs 18:21 - The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

d)      Moses to the children of Israel while in the desert

Exodus 14: 12 – 14

12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
