This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

 

Thank you Ps Lakers for giving me the opportunity to share a message hot on the heels of our mission trip in Vietnam.

 

Though the trip abroad was only one week in length, there are many testimonies and revelations that will be shared in days to come.

 

The time spent with my brothers has been transformational for me. I have witnessed a small body of Christ move with the Holy Spirit guidance to do God's work.

 

I have witnessed plans of man disappear, replaced by God's blueprint laid out for us, and the same men moving obediently according to our Holy Fathers will.

 

We give God thanks and praise for blessing our ways throughout the mission trip and protecting the men who were involved. We pray for the people of Vietnam, that they embrace Jesus into their hearts and create a sweeping revival of Christianity IJN for the glory of God.

 

 

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia (Vietnam) who believe. For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, (Vietnam) but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

 

 

 

Vietnam is a country of mainly three religions, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism often known as the three teachings. There are approximately 79-90% Buddhists in Vietnam.

 

Christian’s who are mainly Catholics make up about 8% of the population of 100 million.

 

 

 

During each day and each day of the mission trip, I observed that every person or group who we met and ministered to were left with the feeling of encouragement.

 

We were often embraced as an answer to prayers and this was a humbling experience for me.

 

We visited an orphanage, small church groups and even a family of fourth generation Christians who were doing the work of God in a challenging environment.

 

To see their expressions through the language barrier. That we, a small group of fellow Christians from abroad, have come to bless them and the work they do was confirmation to us that we were also doing God’s work as He planned.

 

We pray,Father God to allow the space for You to work in our lives, to put down our plans and listen for Your instructions in all things. Continually bless all your disciples and fill them with the Holy Spirit to do Your work for Your Glory IJN amen.
