Content:

1 Kings 17:1 - “And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

Giving up the physical to apprehend the spiritual
- Hebrews 11:3 There is a class of believers that understand that by faith the world were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
- They understand that physical thrones, dominions, power, authority are not made of things which are visible.
- 1 Kings 17:1 - Elijah said to Ahab…, James 5:17 elaborates “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.”
- James 5:16b - “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Earnest and consistent prayers give you boldness and access to God’s strategy where you determine the rules of engagement.
- Baal: “is presented as a weather god, with particular power over lightning, wind, rain, and fertility." Baal also is translated ‘owner’ or ‘provider.’
- Your words only carry weight in the spirit to the degree to which you remain on your knees.

Pray Father, I receive the understanding and the power of Your word in my mouth birthed in the place of prayer. Elevate my faith Lord to comprehend the power in Your word. I receive the boldness to declare Your word in the face of Ahab.

Biblical figures that understood their position with God and brought kingdoms and institutions to their knees:
- Jesus Christ
- Moses
- Abraham
- David
- Elijah and Elisha
- Daniel and the 3 Hebrew Boys
- Paul

Mark 1:35 - “And in the morning, long before daylight, He got up and went out to a deserted place, and there He prayed.”

Philippians 3:9-10
9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

The Power of Words - Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant
Matthew 8:5-10 - “Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,
6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!”

Consequences of the righteousness which is from God
1. Knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, the Word
2. Power of His resurrection. The power to reverse death. The power that dominates time, space and matter. (This is similar to the power Ezekiel experienced in his vision of the valley of dry bones).
3. Fellowship of His sufferings

Pray Father I receive the revelation of the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I thank you for the gift of righteousness which You have given to me.
