_We want more, we want more.
Fill us again_

_Fill me up till I’m overflowing
Fill me till I’m running over_

John 15:4

> Your dominion is only as extensive as the excuses you allow.

Genesis 3:1 – "Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, ‘Has God indeed said, "You shall not eat of every tree of the garden"?'"

The narrative of Genesis 3 presents more than a mere temptation; it reveals Satan's calculated strategy to undermine humanity’s God-given dominion. His methods remain unchanged through the ages—targeting our vulnerabilities and seeking to divert us from our divine purpose.

Satan’s Strategies for Compromise:
1. Assault on Vulnerability: He attacks the weaker aspects of your life, the areas where you are most susceptible to temptation and compromise.

2. Isolation and Deception: Satan enters into discourse when you are isolated from God, just as he approached Eve when she was alone.

3. Exploitation of Curiosity: He strikes when you are near the "forbidden tree," catching you in a moment of curiosity, where your gaze lingers too long on what God has forbidden.

4. Subtle Contamination: Temptations often arrive from unsuspected sources, and through them, entire generations may be contaminated.

> Satan’s technology is always monitoring for whatever God set apart, whatever He anoints, whatever He marks.

If you have the mantle of Samson on, watch out: Delilah will come after you
If you have the mantle of David on, Saul will come after you
If you have the mantle of Elijah on, Jezebel will come after you
If you have the mantle of of John the Baptist on, Herodias will come after you

I. Satan’s Alternative Pathways
Whenever Satan offers an alternative to God’s promise, it is never innocent. In every temptation, there is something Satan seeks to steal, kill, or destroy.

In Matthew 4:8-10, we see this play out in Jesus' wilderness temptation:

> "Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve."’”

Satan will never directly offer you slavery when God has already given you dominion. Instead, he presents an alluring counterfeit—a pathway that promises similar dominion, but leads to bondage.

II. Doubt and Denial of God's Word
Satan’s tactic from the beginning has been to cause doubt in God's word and eventually lead man to deny it altogether. He is the great deceiver and accuser, subtly enticing you to reject God’s truth and then accusing you for doing so.

> What you consistently doubt, you will eventually deny!

III. The Deception of Independence
In the Garden of Eden, Satan deceived humanity into believing they could exist independently from God—the Source of their life. He suggested that man, the branch, could exist without the vine.

He whispers the same lie today: "You don’t need to be a branch, you can be the vine."

Yet Satan knows the truth—God has granted you dominion, but only in your dependence on Him. Your authority is only maintained through connection with God, your true Source.

IV. What Man Possessed Before the Fall
Before the fall, man enjoyed the full spectrum of divine blessings:
- The Spirit of wisdom
- Knowledge of God
- Enlightened understanding

Satan knows what God has promised you and comes with a counteroffer designed to lead you away from these gifts. His objective is clear—he offers a false wisdom, a counterfeit knowledge, and a distorted understanding.

> Whenever disobedience and rebellion seem appealing, Satan is at work.

A. The Spirit of Wisdom
Paul prays in Ephesians 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom. But Satan, in Genesis, tells Eve that the forbidden fruit would make her wise, tempting her to believe that wisdom can be obtained apart from God.

B. Knowledge of God
Paul also prays for the revelation of the knowledge of Him. But Satan deceives by suggesting that man can "know good and evil" without fully knowing God.

C. Enlightened Understanding
Paul prays that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, but Satan tempts with the idea that simply opening one’s eyes—without God—will lead to enlightenment. He subtly twists the truth, using your mind as the battleground for rebellion.

The enemy's approach has always been one of subversion, offering an enticing, alternative pathway to the blessings God has already set aside for His people. True dominion, however, can only be exercised through submission to God’s perfect will and an unwavering connection to Him, the Source of all life.
