Matthew 16:13 Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
Matthew 16:14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matthew 16:15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

In a physical sense, keys allow us to progress, to go where we wish, to leave or to enter spaces which otherwise are barred to us. All human progress is based on unlocking previously closed doors of science, technology, politics and the realm of imagination.

The Apostles were walking with a man whose existence was shrouded in a mystery.

On a certain day Peter by the Spirit of God, unraveled and unlocked that mystery.

Once Jesus was unraveled, he started speaking about the "KEY"

Keys are prevalent in our every facet of daily existence.

We need the keys to unlock doors, without keys you can't get into your car and unravel the engine capacity of your car.

Peter in Unravelling that mystery did set the tone for us. It is our responsibility to unravel mysteries using the key of REVELATION.

Let us Pray.
