Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
A Time for Everything
There is a time for
everything,and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
Most of us have been through the process of grief of losing close family members or friends that were dear to us, if not we will have to be prepared for this, we all have dealt with the process differently if we have been through it.
Jesus himself grieved when He wept at the tomb of His friend Lazarus before he raised him from the dead
John 11-35
Jesus wept
King David mourned the death of his son
2 Samuel 18:33
The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: “O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you—O Absalom, my son, my son!”
There are different stages of grief, it’s the denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and then the acceptance of the significant change in our lives. As believers God’s truth reminds us that we will make it through to the end. He understands what we are going through and he will help us overcome if we continue to seek him through the process.
John 16:22
“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.”
TESTIMONY
My own journey through Grief
the loss of my 3 younger siblings and my dad.
Through grief continue to trust God.
God does not make mistakes.
Whatever He does, He does because of His nature of being good, even if we’re not faithful, He remains faithful to us ,we cannot lose our trust in the Lord. We continue to seek him until the end. His grace can overwhelm our grief.
To understand grief as God sees it will enable us to embrace it, endure it, and triumph through it. It will bring us beyond the grief, in time,where grief is exchanged for His grace.
As deeply agonizing is the grief, so deeply His grace works in our hearts to experience His glory and joy.
Matthew 5:4
Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
What we have as believers that the
unbeliever do not have is FAITH,HOPE, and the LOVE of our gracious heavenly Father. In our loss, and during our grieving, He reveals Himself as He never has before.
The pain of grief is great but the Lord is merciful , our hope is in him.
Lamination 3:19
But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
Psalms 34:18
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit," showing God's closeness to those in pain.
Comfort is a promise to those who mourn
Matthew 5:4
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
This promise highlights the spiritual support and consolation that we can find through our faith.
Hope that extends beyond the present suffering to a future where pain and grief will be no more.
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

One day at a time sweet Jesus
That’s all I am asking from you
Just give me the strength to do every day what I have to do.
Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine
So help me today, show me the way, one day at a time.
Sufferings and persecution is not the end of the story, it is the part of the story
