Topic: CHRIST THE KING OF PEACE IN A WORLD šššš O F TURMOIL AND TURBULENCE.
Content:
Luke Chapter 2 Vs 1- 14.
We do live in a world that's troubled and bedeviled by so many issues. These issues cause great discomfort and instability.
Even as children of God, we are bombarded daily by issues that we are sometimes caught up in in the midst of the instabilities, insanities and inanities.
HOW DO WE LIVE GOING FORWARD.
We have to be like the shepherds who had great, perfect and the peace that surpasses every human understanding to be able to see, recognise, and acknowledge what God was doing.
Psalms 119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble.
We have to love the word of God.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Our Minds must stay on God.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
Philippians 4:7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Prayer Points:
We must be anxious for nothing.
2 Kings 6:13 So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.”
And it was told him, saying, “Surely he is in Dothan.”
2 Kings 6:14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.
2 Kings 6:15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
2 Kings 6:16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2 Kings 6:18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
In conclusion, please read Luke 2, again and again to be infused with the three dimensions of peace that the shepherds had.
Let us Pray.
