Romans 12:1-2
"So then, my brothers and sisters, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect."
As we embark through 2025, may we build on the revelations gained in 2024 as the Lord guides us into the new year. As we delight in the Lord he shall reward us with the desires of our hearts, Let us commit all our ways, plans or projects to Jesus trusting in him and he shall bring it to pass in his perfect timing (Psalm 37)
As our vehicles often need a wheel alignment let us dig deeper in the word of God (Jesus) and align our minds to his mind. The patterns of this world have a way of derailing, diluting with a tendency to cause imbalances to the truths we hold dear. And so we need faith in every situation or circumstance. Abraham believed and hoped even when there was no reason for hoping (Romans 4:18)
Identity in Christ

"God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do."
1 Peter 2:9
"But you are the chosen race, the King’s priests, the holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light."
John 1:12
"Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God’s children."

Galatians 2:20
"So that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me."

2 Corinthians 5:17
"Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come."

Colossians 3:3-4
"For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Your real life is Christ, and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!"

Romans 8:16-17
"God’s Spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God’s children. Since we are his children, we will possess the blessings he keeps for his people, and we will also possess with Christ what God has kept for him; for if we share Christ’s suffering, we will also share his glory."

God’s Promises

Jeremiah 29:11
"I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for."

Psalm 23:1-3
"The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised."

Philippians 4:19
"And with all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, my God will supply all your needs."

Isaiah 41:10
"Do not be afraid—I am with you! I am your God—let nothing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you."

Deuteronomy 31:6
"Be determined and confident. Do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you."

Psalm 37:4-5
"Seek your happiness in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desire. Give yourself to the Lord; trust in him, and he will help you."

2 Peter 1:3-4
"God’s divine power has given us everything we need to live a truly religious life through our knowledge of the one who called us to share in his own glory and goodness. In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature."

Divine Authority

Luke 10:19
"Listen! I have given you authority, so that you can walk on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the Enemy, and nothing will hurt you."

Mark 16:17-18
"Believers will be given the power to perform miracles: they will drive out demons in my name; they will speak in strange tongues; if they pick up snakes or drink any poison, they will not be harmed; they will place their hands on sick people, who will get well."

Ephesians 6:10-11
"Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armor that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks."

James 4:7
"So then, submit yourselves to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you."

1 John 4:4
"But you belong to God, my children, and have defeated the false prophets, because the Spirit who is in you is more powerful than the spirit in those who belong to the world."

Acts 1:8
"But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

2 Samuel 6:10-12 (NIV):
So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
2 Corinthians 6:16 (NIV):
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will live with them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”
1 Samuel 5:1-5 (NIV):
After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.
Then they carried the ark into Dagon’s temple and set it beside Dagon.
When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place.
But the following morning when they rose, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! His head and hands had been broken off and were lying on the threshold; only his body remained.
That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon’s temple at Ashdod step on the threshold.
