TRANSFORMED MIND FOR TERRITORIAL TRANSFORMATION – Part X
The Day of His Power
Psalm 66:3 - ‘Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.’
Scriptural Foundation
Romans 12:1-2 – "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
The concept of transformation is derived from the Latin transformare, a composite of trans (across, beyond) and formare (to shape or form), signifying a fundamental alteration in nature and essence. Scripturally, transformation is not a superficial modification but a profound reconfiguration of the believer's mind and spirit, aligning them with divine purpose.
> The execution of God’s will on earth is inseparable from His power.
"In the day of His power, the people shall be willing" (Psalm 110:3).
This denotes a divine synchronization—an alignment where the volition of God’s people harmonizes with the operation of His power.
Indeed, every day remains the day of His power, for His dominion is not bound by temporal limitations.
Spiritual Illumination and Divine Empowerment
Ephesians 1:17-21
"…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come."
This passage underscores three dimensions of divine revelation that empower believers:
1. The hope of His calling—an understanding of divine purpose.
2. The riches of His inheritance—the vast spiritual resources available to the saints.
3. The exceeding greatness of His power—the operative force that raised Christ and now functions in the believer.
Key Considerations
- Power (Faith): The divine capacity to enforce spiritual realities until they align with the decrees of Scripture. Faith is not passive belief but an active force that compels conformity to divine order.
- Authority: The legitimate right to exercise power in accordance with divine law. Authority governs the lawful use of power within a prescribed jurisdiction.
- Territory: The sphere of influence where power is authorised; beyond this domain, its exercise becomes illegitimate.
> "The presence of light negates the dominion of darkness." Wherever divine illumination is established, darkness loses its claim to legitimacy.
The Threefold Jurisdiction of the Believer’s Authority
1. Authority Over Satan and Unclean Spirits
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." — James 4:7
"And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." — Matthew 10:1, 8
The believer is endowed with spiritual jurisdiction over demonic forces that afflict, deceive, and oppress.
2. Authority to Transform Circumstances
The believer wields divine authority to alter unfavorable conditions, bringing them into alignment with God’s revealed will. This is the practical outworking of faith—the imposition of divine decrees upon the material world.
3. Authority to Minister Life
The believer, having received the life of Christ, functions as a conduit of divine vitality. As "a life-giving spirit" (1 Corinthians 15:45), the believer is not merely a recipient of grace but a dispenser of life, called to quicken others into divine reality.
Conclusion
Thus, the transformation of the mind is not an abstract concept but the foundation for executing divine mandates. As believers renew their minds, they transition from passive adherence to active enforcement of kingdom realities, effecting territorial transformation under the governance of divine power.
